Ooh thats like Alan Titchmarsh and his living wall! Those hanging planters are reduced at the moment, could be worth getting for next year.Trying to shift that debt!0

we've got a small bed near the house with strawberries, red currants and black currants in as well as 2 rose bushes & some jasmine  it's a teensy bit crowded
sun doesn't come very far into my garden though so we've only had a handful of strawberries good enough to eat
we did get tonnes of currants though, they are super easy to grow!! The tomatoes we had in a plant pot died from lack of sun. Pah, never mind, I will try again next year!

Month 27, day 18 Lurching inelegantly towards month 26 with plans afoot for our holidays and the builder paid for work to date, a review is required of remaining work and I have a fund of 500 pounds to one side for the next phase which shall be topped up as money is spent.
Due to time and the fact I can spend money to make money I am getting prices for someone to paint the house, all through and will ask them to break it down room by room.
In other news I went into the garden last night and I sorted a border where I had some lemon mint which was being overtaken by a prolific yellow flowering shrub which I dont know the name of which self seeds. The mint is now in its own pot and should come good.
The yellow flowering pest has been cut down a little and the blooms were collected and popped in vases in my living room. Lovely fresh colours and cheap as you like!
My next task is to make a slightly raised area and plant in some cascading plants to add some feature to that area. I have ordered a shade loving honeysuckle online and that will climb the fence behind. I have plenty of stones and some plants I can use in my plant nursery / recovery area.
I may do it in steps which will look pretty. Looking forward to it.Trying to shift that debt!0 -

Its racing by. Or it fell into an abyss with my common sense . I have just been doing some sums and I need 2100 over the next three months to complete evrything I need to complete.
Once its complete though and we have a rental income that will be grand. The real progress will begin in ernest once the annoying bills arent needing to be paid like water rates and council tax and the electricity. 200 a month will be freed up, the mortgage will be money neutral and the 200 pounds over the top will be used to create an emergency fund.Trying to shift that debt!0 -

I picked some flowers from our garden the other day and popped them in a vase, was very pleased with my MSE flowers, even if DH insisted on calling them weeds lol  ! No recipes for the currants, the kids keep eating them off the bush before I even get a look in to pick themMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06.
