You know i think its a fairly sad reflection on society when being honest is not the default reaction.
Yeah but we're talking about a car salesman here. I've spoken to several of these in the past few weeks and a more scummy profession I cann't think of. Lies, lies and more lies is all that comes out of their mouths.
Of course some are ok but they're the exception. Why not make one of these greaseballs sweat for a change.0 -

Jeez - on virtually every other thread, the sales staff are the enemy. Make your minds up.
You pay for the minutes on your phone??
Everyone else in the country has free minutes, so its going to cost nothing.
Its a sad reflection on society when being honest and doing the right thing is no longer the automatic response.0 -

Do bear in mind that the very small amount of actual complaints that get put on here that dont result in a happy ending are an extremely small percentage of the amount of transactions that happen in the motor trade.
So chances are, this is just a regular guy trying to get a regular wage to make ends meet - but its ok to punish him and maybe get him sacked?
Great.0 -
Seriously, i cant believe some of the responses here.
Quite ridiculous that some people think its OK to keep your head down as long as possible and !!!!!!!! to the salesman because he probably deserves it.0 -

Then i strongly suggest you're looking in the wrong places to buy your cars.
If you're receiving anything other than professionalism and courtesy in a main dealers then i would be phoning the Dealer Principal as he will want to know.
And in what sense are they lying to you? I'd call them on it and i dont see why you havent?0 -
It's not proving any point. In business how many people who owe money chase the person they owe it to to pay? It's always the other way round.
As for salemen, maybe if they were a better breed I'd feel more compassion for them. But having heard them just make up a pack of lies recently (and forever for that matter) the OP doesn't owe them any favours.0
