Got this email:
This is just to let you know that I have paid for several things for kids recently, in case you wanted to contribute anything towards the cost.
Driving test £62
Theory test £31
Pyjamas £17
X box wireless adapter £55
Total = £165
Funny thought I had already contributed? So sounds like she must be earning if she thinks she's paid????Regards

Considering you've paid for the driving lessons, I don't think she should be asking for a contribution towards the tests.
And the xbox wireless adapter should be something that the kids pay for if it's what they want.0 -

I know it is hard for you to ignore these emails but please try to stay strong and dignified, as you have all the way through this mess.
You have to concentrate on yourself now and making your new home as comfortable as you can.
You have given her more than enough financial assistance for months now and if she wishes to spend that money on the list she has sent you that is her choice.
She is trying to play on your heartstrings with regards driving and theory test monies.
Your daughter is 20 years of age and it is her wish to pass this test so she has to take some responsibility for that. You are not doing her any favours by bowing down to her every whim.0 -
Jeez fella, I've just read this whole thread and all I can say is wow! Got a friend in a similar position as yourself, though not quite as bad! Not got any experience of advice to offer but good luck, you're doing well to stay so calm!0

Is there any reason whatsoever that your children - aged almost 18 and 20 - do not have part-time jobs so that they could finance some of their own "wants" - like the X-box thingy?0

Did the examinee pass?
IF you have any spare money (and I know that this month you may well have nothing), I might send the successful driver some money, not least as this saves you money every month going forward). If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

Apparantly they've tried to get one but so much easier for all of them to sit on backsides working out how to get more out of me...
Although my Daughter did work 3 days on the bar at a festival recently.Regards
