If you have a facebook account there are selling sites for most areas.
You might be able to pick up a good bargain from there. Also try Gumtree in your area.
I think once you are settled into your new home things will start to become easier for you. I hope it helps to make you feel a bit more secure.0 -

I got a freecycled washing machine three years ago, it's still going strong.
When my dad left, we were 13 and 14 and he gave us £5 a week each - £40 a month, and didn't pay any thing else ever. On my sixteenth we saw me in the highstreet and gave me the last five pounds, said "Thank god I don't have to do that anymore" and walked off, not to be seen again for 20 years.
You've already done more than enough, try to stay happy and get on with your life. Your wife needs to suck it up and stop being a kept woman"There is no substitute for time."

I would ignore it.
You are paying out a lot of money for a solicitor, and I know you can't speak to them till Tuesday, but I would let them reply to her demands or any other advice they offer you.
By the sounds of things I think your ex is now seeing that her demands are ridiculous and is trying to pull on your heart strings.

I would have replied. No need to hurt her unnecessary and nothing hurts more than being ignored. I'd reply saying that you got it , that you see things in a differwnt way and consequently will talk to your solicitor. The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.0 -
Just thought about this.............
If you have an email address for your solicitor you could forward the email you got from your ex. It would then give your solicitor time to digest it before you phone them.0 -

Have to disagree with this.
I think the OP has been hurt by his ex's actions and demands.0
