That's brilliant news Jack!
I hope your children come round soon and you have a wonderful, happy future now that you're (almost) free from your unhappy past.[FONT="][FONT="] Fighting the biggest battle of my life.Started 30th January 2018.

Hooray!! So pleased for you Jack! Off to retrieve the bottle of champagne from the back of the fridge - which I thought I would be using to bash over the heads of my internet provider - but that's another story.
You must be so relieved and will sleep well tonight.
You new life can finally start.0 -

Have you written your complaint about your solicitors yet?

Looks like it is a September party, I shall bring two bottles of bubbly. Nice to see both of you acting sensibly, shocking service from the legal profession, they forget they are dealing with people's lives here.No Matter what you do there will be critics.0

Considered offering your ex to draft a complaint letter about her solicitors and if she gets any refund you two could go for a drink?
Or may be invite children as well ?The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.0 -
Yay! I will raise a glass tonight. The time the solicitors took to forward her proposal is truely shocking! It is uplifting that she met you in the middle via direct discussions between yourselves but I'd agree she probably wouldn't have accepted that if you'd gone in with it while she'd had her solicitor whispering in her ear.
On a side not from earlier..
I hope your daughter continues to grow & realises at some point down the line how her comment about you only needing to house yourself was somewhat hurtful.- Mortgage: 1st one down, 2nd also busted

Extremely pragmatic Jack and probably the best outcome you could hope for. Your experience shows in situations like yours the only people who win are the lawyers! Hopefully you are nearly at the end of a few difficult years now and you can start to move forward.
