Separated, how much should I provide?

Hi jack
You are human and therefore fallible ..
Just a question - how letting your daughter know to which extent it all affects you would actually be to your detriment re settlement? Guess that ex would not be amenable to your offer and try to get more is extremely far fetched , the court settlement may be to your benefit anyway and she is trying to get more no matter whether you spoke to daughter or not and in any case you can say no.
Re women - not sure whether it would make a difference in how you feel - I am quite a catch and I would been interested if we lived closer and I was not attached.:)
What I mean is I don't want her to think that I want to avoid final hearing. Obviously it would be to my advantage if she agrees to my final offer, but actually going to final hearing would be better for me than a compromise with my offer. So from a timing point of view I want this agreement asap so I can move on but I have a time pressure with the eviction from current rental, court hearing 9th July probably have to be out by end of July. if I had a house purchase lined up it would be better. If no agreement in place I'll have to get another rental.
I'm blushing but I think your last statement is for a different website, but thanks for the compliment.Regards

You would take some of the pressure off yourself by organising another 6 month rental, which once everything has been resolved still gives you time to house-hunt at your leisure.Do you not know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?

Angrybear beat me to it. Have you actually tried to think with a calendar in your hands when what would have to happen to give you chance to move in July?
Have you noticed that your reply to my question was not a reply to my question?.
No need to blush , I have not made an offer yet :P
Too many "buts"in your last sentence. The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.0 -

I realize I wouldn't be in by end of July but if |I had found somewhere and had a plan to move in some months later I may be able to negotiate but I realize in reality I need somewhere else to rent as not likely to find somewhere and need to take pressure offRegards

I might have missed it (with the many posts there are on the thread!) but why are you being evicted, Jack?Debt: 54,800

Long story short, landlord put rent up, I requested rentreview board who judged previous was correct, Landlord issued section 21 wantedproperty back as could get more rent for it. I’m apposing section 21 as not valid because deposit protection documentswere not served to me and when move to periodic tenancy should have been servedagain. However I suspect judge willagree as section is mandatory even though my defence has case law on my side.Regards

I take it he is getting evicted because he did not want to pay higher rent landlord wanted. Jack used technicalities to stay where he is.
Btw , jack , have you considered paying the landlord his rate and staying where yu are ?The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.

I did try to come to agreement but they're annoyed that I got rent review so want me out. So if I loose the case on 9July I suspect I'll be given to the end of July to move out.Regards

not surprising they got annoyed, if I was a landlord I would been as well. I would guess you will be given more time than 20 days, after all you should be given enough time to make provisions for moving and logically thinking they should not expect you to make those provisions before the court as theoretically they may decide any way.The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise.
