Personally I would email solicitor with the following bullet points:
    • 14 days has passed since final offer please go for final hearing
    • I cannot afford to pay any more until this has happened and the house money is available
    JRS

It might concentrate their minds wonderfully...

Yes you think it would wouldn't you

I've just written to find out when I'll receive notification to order replacement car. In the next few weeks I was told. If I am not ordering a replacement (current situation) it should be returned before 1st July. So I guess I should write to her informing her when and where it needs to be returned, I have a draft provided for me in an earlier post!
    Regards

My heart really does go out to you Jack.

Not only is your ex a greedy, stupid and seemingly vindictive woman who is intent on lining her own and the solicitors pockets, your solicitor is an incompetent waste of space. I only hope you succeed in your complaint against her!!

I have followed this thread for some time and every time I see a new post from you I hope it's to say everything has finally been settled.

It is quite ridiculous that this has gone on for so long and both solicitors will probably be the only winners.

I feel for you Jack and so hope this ends soon so you can finally move on with your life.

    Take good care of yourself.

Please, please Jack don't renew the replacement, no matter what she decides about your offer.

Just say you are seriously thinking of going BR as you don't have any more funds left. You are the one that is living from hand to mouth, worrying yourself sick, and not having any quality of life with this hanging over you.

    Please take care of yourself.

Have read this thread as it's been going on, but haven't commented yet, but I agree with this, also, she failed to respond to your offer, so surely the offer is now null and void, so really she should be going whistle for anything else.

Exactly that, Jack - said as much to your failed solicitor as to can't-be-soon-enough-exOH.
The 14 day offer was conditional upon acceptance.

That your soliciitor failed, yet again, to enforce or pursue this does not negate it.

From sidefx's previous #: 'You are the one that is living from hand to mouth, worrying yourself sick, and not having any quality of life'.

There is also that small matter of where and how you are supposed to live come July........

Just thought I'd pop in to say Hi to Jack, and followers! :)

Jack, time to contact ex and let her know that car will be going back in July, remind her also that car needs to be in acceptable condition and that she is responsible for this and for any expenses incurred. Probably best to do this via text, rather than through solicitors for a not-very-reasonable charge of £hundreds. Mind you, knowing your lawyers, they'd probably send the letter to the wrong person anyway.

Haven't got any other words of wisdom other than the usual good wishes, I can't believe that we're all still here, waiting for the outcome. You'd think that she'd want to get on with her life too, surely she can't be enjoying this?

Hope your son made a good recovery, I did guess that it may have been appendicitis, it's a common cause of emergency admissions in youngsters. (My husband had emergency appendectomy as a teenager as did his brother and nephew. My 17 year old son has a total meltdown every time he gets a stomach pain, I think he's just waiting for the axe to fall haha!)

Hope you have a good weekend Jack, maybe a bottle of [STRIKE]White Lightning [/STRIKE] single malt, to ease the stress? ;)

I feel that now if that so many weeks haspassed since my final offer was issued in writing that should be retracted butit should have been laid out in the original letter. Something along the lines of ’14 days toaccept otherwise revert to offer B’ offer B being less, although I guess thatwouldn’t help it would probably still go to final hearing?

If she didn't accept offer A, she's unlikely to accept offer B so you are just wasting money on the solicitor.

In any case, if she accepted offer A prior to the final hearing then you might be best advised to accept because of the risk of some costs going against you if you rejected it (depending on what the judge determined the split to be).

I suspect that she is going to get crippled by having to pay your costs. Get on with the FDR and leave it at that.

I concur with other views - she has rejected your offer of a car so she doesn't get one after 1st July.
