I should have said, that in hindsight I wouldn't have gone near a Solicitor, but straight to a Barrister.

Thanks for that useful insight, I didn't know it was an option. It's almost like the solicitors is almost like a conspiracy, Well it feels like it I'm sure there are many examples where they've added value?

My solicitor has appointed a barrister for the FH cost £1500 for the day?

However yes feel the solicitor are not adding much value in my case?

The following may sound sacrilegious to many:
It is just money. Life is too short. If you losing money it is not nice but having the life consumed by hurt of losing money is far worse. Have a good rest of the weekend !

Above I copied the post to which some posters replied saying it was clear I did not read the whole thread and that jack is n genrous to his ex.It escapes me why would a reader think I doubted jack's generosity or why on earth you assumed I did not read thread - I been following it and writing in it for a year.
Even more I can not understand annoyed and hostile tone of posts specially keeping in mind those people know big words better than I do. (Tx for correction , would prefer to get it in a nicer manner though)
I am sure jack understood what I written as following his thread with attention I noticed how clear his mind seemed to be at times when most people would have turned defensive and unfair. To those who did not understand , paraphrasing -
Jack deems to do everything right . It's just that circumstances are such that he is going to lose some money whatever he does . I noticed in his posts it hurts him to see money going for solicitors /mediators with no end in sight. I was suggesting not getting too upset about it as he does everything in his power to limit that loss already and adding additional negative emotions is not really productive. It is not worse his mental or physical health. Accepting the pot will lose money does not mean not to try and limit the loss , it is to remove stress from those attempts.
The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.

I know I may sound condescending telling you how to live your life. I don't do anything I would not have welcomed done to me , we all tend to lose perspective when dealing for a while with a particular issue

Solicitors are pen pushers and paper shifters. I cannot stand them.

How come a barrister has been appointed for the FH when you are in negotiation stage?

Ah yes sorry the original FH that was set for February had a barrister appointed to represent me. However because her solicitor at the last minute decided he want to include the state pensions in the actuaries report they had had to postpone the FH, no new date set? So strictly speaking Barrister isn't appointed for new FH?

Thanks I'm expecting an unreasonable proposal I won't agree to. However she may try an alternative approach?

Also I suspect she may make a proposal about dealing with the now. For example he to move down south to start living in rented while FMH hasn't sold then maybe I move back to FMH and she'll expect me to pay additionally to current voluntary maintenance enough to cover her rent. I'll not get chance to update until Sunday
