  • I wish I could chip off larger chunks but I know it's not possible. I'm trying to get the balance right between debtbusting and having some sort of life. I know if I stopped living to concentrate on the debt that I'd give up after a month so it's about getting the balance right for me.

I'm awaiting a few replies from some ppi reclaims, think I've reclaimed it all but have written to everyone for one last chance - you never know, there may have been one or two missed! I live in hope :)

  • Have had a busy day so far. Have cleaned bathroom, kitchen and dining room, hoovered car and had dinner. Have now got take granddaughter home and then it's cleaning the living room, finish off assignment 1 for uni and make a big start on assignment 2

  • Pay day has come and gone and nothing much has changed on the debt front. I'm still plodding on ever so slowly. Nothing to report regarding the ppi, still have about 5 companies outstanding though so fingers crossed something will come up trumps. Have been looking at my monthly budget and I currently pay £100 to my brother (another 8 months to go) £125 to gas (massive bill to pay off) and £113 to electricity (again a massive bill to pay off). If I could clear my brother and get my gas and electricity cut down to half that would be £200 per month I'd be better off. Only trouble is I don't know how I can clear them :)

  • OMG how did I get in this mess. On a real downer today and all because I haven't got any money. Everyone in work is booking little breaks away for Easter and I can't even afford an Easter egg. Still not heard anything from the ppi so I suppose there's a little bit of hope but I'm not holding my breath.

Weather not good today so the plan is to have a housework day - not even that sounds very exciting :(

  • It must be something in the air Hun. I couldn't have gotten out of bed at all today if it were not for the kind words (that in truth made me bawl even more) of some peeps on here. On the plus side for you, housework doesn't cost and it makes your home better. I'm just grateful that my diversion didn't come to fruition as I didn't like the frame on the £600 picture that was being expressed to my credit card at one point today. Just hang in there and look at what the baby steps have given you.

  • I don't know what it is, perhaps it's a full moon. There's got to be some reason for all the bad vibes around today. I've not spent a penny and got so fed up at one point, I went back to bed for a couple of hours.

  • Another day in the house. Been emptying my freezer over the last few days so it's been a mish mash of meals. Bagels for breakfast, off to mums for Sunday lunch then i think it's going to be some chicken breast for tea and hopefully enough for lunch tomorrow. Freezer getting pretty empty now and it's not pay day until 21st. Hopefully I'll manage it!!!

  • Another day has come and gone and there's been no money news. Have made a packed lunch for work tomorrow so that's one less stress.

Every night I go to bed in the hope that tomorrow will bring some good news so on that note I'm off to bed hoping tomorrow will be different.

  • I'm still ploughing my way through the freezer, finished off some curry today and just defrosted a pasta sauce for my lunch tomorrow. It's amazing how many meals you can cook out of nothing in particular :)

Purse is practically empty and bank account isn't looking much better but everything's been paid. I hate the feeling of not having any money, even if I don't want to buy anything. Got family allowance next Tuesday so hopefully the freezer and petrol will hold out until at least then.

  • Telephoned the halifax today for an update on my ppi claim. Major disappointment - I didn't take any out! It was from a mortgage in 1990 so it was worth asking about.

Nothing else to report. A rather boring week with no money and diminishing food supplies!
