hey you i'm ok thanks. Hope you are to?
I spoke to sis last night, have been told it is hers and mums wish for me not to contact him, told her it was a decision i would have to make and couldn't be pressured or influenced by their wishes.
On the plus side have received my free copy of Moneywise today.. thanks martin!!!!
Hiya BA, thanks so much for posting and no worries about the delay i knew you'd be around somewhere!! It was so nice to hear of DH's experiences of this and how he has come out the other side and left it in the past. At the moment no one believes that is what i can do and are determined that contacting him will lead to bessie buddies in the pub on a friday. me thinks not!!!! Yes was great news about the medical stuff a massive weight off my mind!!
Hows bunny settling in? Had a mental piccy of your and DD sitting in a rabbits run deep in sawdust side by side saying pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!! made me giggle.
Have made an overpayment today off my halifax card believe it or not, an extra £50 which is 3 1/2 times more than the agreed monthly payment!! yay!!
on a boooo side, decided not to go to malta for a week, flight too expensive and none of the budget airlines seem to fly there.
OH is really behaving himself lately and i'm really proud of him. He admitted at the weekend after saturdays, erm, conversation that he is terrified of mucking up as he sees that i'm working to get things sorted. He sees me watching everything i spend (nowadays) and if i can't afford it i won't do it. He said that it's the complete opposite to how he's acted previously and has continued to act. He's also terrified of my reaction if he has to tell me he's done it wrong!!! that made me laugh, what does he think i'd do? string him up by the ankles and whip him? (oh if only i knew where JCD got that bottom spanking smily from!)
anyway had best get on with some work.
Hugs to everyone and thanks for the offer of a cuppa hypno, i'll PM you. xxxdebt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
Morning.
You are right, only go can make that decision, and your Mum and sister will understand whatever you do.
Please OH has realised what you have been doing! Mine has gone into panic as he is job hunting and every job he goes for is paid monthy (he's currently paid weekly) so he's just realised that if he is going to change jobs, he's going to need to save up!
They all get there eventually.Current debt - £16,300

men!! can't live with them, can't shoot them!!! Bless, would love to be paid weekly must be so nice to have a constant drip of money. think it's a rarity nowadays though!! will it take him long to manage a swap? xdebt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0

He thinks about 3 weeks, but he needs to find a job he likes yet!
But he is working so it's not to much of a problem.Current debt - £16,300

yep!! know that one!! OH went through a phase like that but has set his mind on training as a quantity surveyor now, which i great. Means he may have to work away quite a lot while hes training but it's a necessary part of the job. extra peace for me i guess!!! good luck to your OH on the job hunt!! xxdebt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0

Morning P, glad to hear you sounding quite positive. You're absolutely right that you need to make your own decision and I'm sure your mum and sister will respect that. Great news on the medical stuff as well.
Shame you can't go on holiday but you probably wouldn't enjoy it as much if you were worrying about the cost. I'm planning a few trips for next year with lots of low cost airlines, staying with friends and budget hotels/ hostels involved (although me and my mate have decided we're past staying in big dorms with noisy strangers these days :rotfl: )
Good to hear your OH is coming round to the DFW way of thinking as well. My current view is less "men, can't live with them..." and more "men - aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh"
Am I right in saying you're now post-payday and ready for our little October challenge?

I've got a slightly scarier £122 left, but on the positive side I've got a couple of survey payments on the way - plus I think one of my 'big' weekends has been postponed and the other one has been sorted out to be much cheaper
I do have to stop being lazy though - must make lunch to bring to work and must forgo a few bus journeys!
I think Sunday will be an ebaying day for me. Will be checking up tonight to see if you've done any
