Bought new clothing and it was nicked in the carpark

You know this how?
Do you often have this happen to you?
Never happened to me before, but an aunt paid for a suit at Debenhams or another dept store and it got nicked. She claimed for the money back as she paid by credit card. Didn't tell me how long it took, but she had to get crime reference number. The suit was £150-170 though.0 -
OP, in both the other examples you cite, t-shirt flying off at Sainsburys and booze falling out of flimsy bag, there is evidence to show the incidents took place... a t-shirt on roof of trolley bay, and a broken bottle.
In your case there is absolutely nothing to show that what you claim has happened did actually happen.
I can easily see why Asda will not refund you... not sure why you can't see that too.0 -

So it would have been the credit card company who re-imbursed her, not the store it was bought from.Herman - MP for all!0 -

Got to the car (about 40 yards from where I bumped into a friend) and noticed that my carrier bag was nicked.
How far to the side of you? Didn't either you or your friend see someone walk over to you and take something out the trolley? It can't have been that close. CCTV footage would be very useful.
Maybe ASDA will give you a small credit voucher as a goodwill gesture but I really don't see how they are obligated to do so...
Might sound daft, but it is ridiculously windy where I am today - hasn't blown away has it?!What shall I do if Asda are unable to refund either back to my card or gift vouchers or replacement?
Accept you need to keep a better eye on your possessions?0 -

I can see why they can't refund me now. Though imho, they should have not replaced the wine as its was the shopper's stupidity. He was one of those customers that shoves £40 of shopping into 2 carrier bags type. Though if I did forget my own bags, then I would pack the same amount of shopping in 5-6 bags.0 -
You have twice been asked about the wind conditions - care to answer this please?0

OP you have been on MSE most of the morning, you say this incident happened earlier today so it must of been very early morning when you were in the car park and therefore i presume very quiet and only the odd person about. Can you not think of anyone who must of got extremly close to you and your friend?
Maybe should of frisked your friend!!!0 -
Last year I made a small purchase in Asda through the self serve tills. I got £30 cashback but got distracted laughing with my young son and forgot to lift it. 20 minutes later I realised it was missing, so I returned to the store to see if the money had been found by the self serve supervisor.
It hadn't, but Asda staff were extremely helpful. They called security who scrolled through their video footage and were able to tell me that two middle aged men had used the checkout after me and that one of them had pocketed my cash.
I blame myself rather than the store, for my own stupidity and not keeping an eye on what belonged to me.
It still makes me cross thinking about it, but cross with myself, not the store.

That Asda is always busy! When I was in there, they had a tannoy announcement with 7 colleagues' names to go to the checkouts as they were queue busters! Even a colleague putting the reduced bread on the shelving commented with 'how many?" Full of parents that dumped their kids off at school and doing the shopping.0 -
