Leeds Online Bonus ISA

Don't tell me things like that! It's my first time transferring, so I'm a bit nervous about it all.
There's no need to be - you're doing the right thing. I think the banks transfer the money between themselves electronically now, instead of sending cheques, so that should make things quicker. The guidelines say it can take 15 days to complete things so I wouldn't bother ringing them yet.0 -
My chq is showing on the account now.
2 questions:- Where can find ISA transfer in form and what details will be required in order to do bank transfers into this account?
I have been looking on Leeds BS website but cannot find it.
Thanks

I opened my Leeds BS ISA on April 6. I got confirmation then that the account had been opened, and I posted a transfer request form on the same day.
The only further sign of life from Leeds since was a letter today confirming they had received the transfer request and would try to move the money. No online access information, nothing, nada.
Not sure yet whether I really want to transfer my Nationwide ISA into the Leeds given this level of responsiveness. If it takes them that long to even acknowledge a transfer request, how long will it take to get any money out of them? Particularly since I haven't even got any online access to manage my account.
Not impressed, or convinced, yet.0 -
I opened my account the same day as you, Innovate. I had no confirmation or anything until the email the other day. The cheque hasn't been cashed, but my ISA has now disappeared from Natwest. I have no online access or account information0

Maybe to help calm others concerns about time & process at LBS, I opened my ISA not long after the clocks had ticked over to Sat 6th April, I posted my completed forms and cheque by 10am the same day and received confirmation of receipt by the following Tuesday.
Since then, I've transferred a cash amount from my bank into the new ISA without problem and the full amount is available to withdraw.
My transfer forms to take my old ISA out of NS&I were posted to them on the 8th, receipt of documents has been confirmed and I've received confirmation that the NS&I account has now closed. I expect the ISA transfer money to be available to me in the next day or so.
In summary, everything seems to have gone very smoothly and can only assume that any problems are due to the significant take-up they probably received following MSE's appearance on TV the night before!
I'm sure everything will be fine.0 -
I had an email from them earlier this week and I have been able to log in using the customer number assigned and password chosen during my original application. This shows that my transfer request is in progress, so I'm not unduly worried yet.0

To ease some fears....I opened my ISA on the 6th and posted the initial cheque and transfer forms on the 9th (second class).
Today my cheque has finally cleared after showing as being paid in for a few days. The transfer of my old ISA is still being completed according to my online account.
So, looks like they are getting around to people in time
ETA: I've had nothing in the post from them as of yet but so long as all is going okay online I'm not worried about that. It's taken me a lifetime to start looking after my money and now I'm addicted to doing it! :cool2:0 -

Doh! I didn't even try that, but somehow assumed I need to wait for all sorts of login data in the post. You are absolutely right - - logging in is as simple as using the customer number you were given during signup, and the password your chose.
My account is sitting there, "Awaiting completing of your ISA transfer request", which is what I would expect. So all's well for now :-)0 -
Yeah, my account has now changed from 'awaiting application form, identity validation, transfer forms' to now just awaiting transfer forms. So it looks promising.0
