I hope that's what they did after I left, I'll be annoyed if it wasn't done properly. The woman didn't seem to know what to do with them, and she tried to have me make an appointment with them for some reason? I opened the account online (obviously as it's/was an online account), and was given an account number, they were just unable to verify my ID electronically. So I had to explain all that to her. Really disappointed with the service, as the assistant seemed to have no clue as to what I was on about.0 -
I went to a local branch on Saturday to get my ID verified. I sealed the envelope containing the application and they posted it internally for me. I have received an email today saying they have received it and are experiencing unprecedented volume and will take 7-10 days to open all accounts working on the first received.
Does anyone know the sort code for this account once it's up and running?0 -

I think this is what you need.0 -
Further to the problem in posts 9 and 10. I still haven't had anything back from Leeds, but having rootled in the online t and c's, I found this, which might have some bearing:
8.2 You may not withdraw funds against the cheque for your initial investment until the money has reached your
Account (cleared) in accordance with the central clearing cycle operated by banks. A cheque deposited to your
Account will be available for withdrawal no later than the sixth Working Day after the cheque is received at the
Society’s Head Office.
So maybe what they are trying to say with the online account message is not that transfers are not allowed, but that transfers are not allowed YET, UNTIL THE CHEQUE HAS CLEARED. Thoughts, anyone?0 -
I opened my account two weeks on Saturday. I sent the signed confirmation, transfer request form and initial cheque (for £1) last week and the account is now open and the £1 has been credited.
My transfer has not gone through yet BUT Santander have closed the online access to the ISA so I'm guessing it's in motion.
The account number/sort code above is correct but you must quote your full customer number to ensure funds are routed to the correct account.
I made a test transfer of £1 to ensure the details were correct and the money turned up within 24 hours - not Faster Payments speed but still pretty decent turnaround time.
So far pretty happy with LBS - only worrying thing is the email system they use - we've been brainwashed for years about not opening email attachments yet if you email or message LBS from their website, you will receive a reply instructing you to download and open an attachment from an email - nuts!!0 -

Maybe, will wait and see when my cheque clears. It's taken me a lifetime to start looking after my money and now I'm addicted to doing it! :cool2:0 -

!
My bank has deleted my ISA from my list of accounts, so just hoping now it doesn't get lost in the internet clouds during the move over. It's taken me a lifetime to start looking after my money and now I'm addicted to doing it! :cool2:0 -
I seem to have lost telephone access to my Santander account so fingers crossed. I've had my fair share of problems transferring ISAs over the years!0
