Hi Pennywise
Well done on the payouts! I bet you can't wait for half term xx0 -
Gosh can't believe how cold it is today, I've lit the woodburner and trying to get the house warm.
Been shopping this morning, DH needed new trainers which he managed to get in sports direct at a bargain price of £19.99.
I nipped into sainsbugs, just a small shop until Tuesday when I get child ben, spent £16.45 but used £7.50 in nectar points and £2.03 I had on a sainsbugs gift card, so only paid £6.92 in cold hard cash. Hubby had a huge grin on his face and said I love it when you do things like that and get a bargain, bless him.
DD is on a sleepover so one less mouth to feed tonight, but do have in laws coming for tea tomorrow, so its swings and roundabouts.
Going to make a curry as I have everything in for that, will make cup cakes for pud.0 -

Bless your DH :rotfl: my hubby also loves it when i get a bargain! He tells everyone I am the bargain queen and never pay full price for anything :rotfl: (nearly true)

We are getting 3 chickens, a mate of DH has split up with his wife and she has told him to take his chickens with him ( sorry but I do think its quite funny, must have a sick sense of humour, just keep imagining him walking down the drive with his little chickens tucked under his arm:rotfl:), but he has moved into a rented place and can't take them so DH has said we will have them :j, i'm very excited.
She will regret it when she has no lovely fresh eggs :rotfl:
I am so pleased for you - make sure any vegetable patch is fenced off otherwise you won't have any veggies!!
If you need any advice let me know (we have about 40 at the moment  plus all the other things )0 -
Ohhh Penny how exciting about the chickens:j, can't wait to hear about all the cakes and quiches! Do hens need settling in time or will they lay immediately?
I'd love some but so would the dog:eek:.Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs
One Poll: £3.20
My Survey: £0.00
Ebay: £0.000 -
Hi EE - No veggie patch, not green fingered at all just thrown another houseplant away as I killed it, no idea what I did wrong. OMG to 40 Hens .
Hi PWD - I think they need a few days to settle, hubby quite knowledgeable about chickens and his mum has some as well, so going to leave them to looking after them, I will just turn the eggs into something scrumptious.
Nothing to update today, just getting on with housework, made cupcakes earlier will ice in a bit.0
