Good morning.
Didn't get chance to post yesterday.
Went shopping and managed to spend £47.02 in Mr T after vouchers, total should have been £60.48, then in sainsbugs spent £87.60,had lots of points vouchers so receive over 600 points, should have cost less but I treated myself to some flowers which look beautiful on the dining table, I know they are a luxury and something I shouldn't be buying, but its £5 on a little thing that makes me smile, also spent £4 on cream cakes for a treat for all the family, you can tell the kids havn't had much by way of treats lately as they were so excited when I said they could chose any cake they wanted, after tea, my daughter said that was the best ever, bless her. I'm really starting to believe that its the simple things in life that keep us happy.
Didn't get petrol yesterday, but have to today i'm running on fumes:eek:. So must put some in today.
Will have a couple of small spends today as I didn't get fruit/veg yesterday as I knew OH wanted to go to wickes today which is near lidl, not paying sainsbug prices or fruit/veg when lidl is so much cheaper.
Also owe work £6 tea money.
Have a good day.0 -
Awwww bless your DD pennywise! I too agree its the simple things. My kids would choose a dog walk and an icecream to an expensive day out at the zoo or something any day!!
That reminded me of something DD2 said last week after id bought her some starburst after school. She said mummy, you are the bestest mummy because you cook the nicest teas, buy sweets and let me get changed out of my uniform :rotfl:... so funny!!!!

Morning, quick update before kids get up and its a mad house.
Yesterday ended up being spendy again , spent £7 on new school socks, don't know what those kids do with them. Spent £6.99 in boots on shampoo and contact lens solution, advantage card machine gave me a voucher for an extra 150 points when I bought contact lens solution, so was glad I decided to check machine, must do that more often and as I was buying it anyway it was a good bonus.
Went to lidl for fruit/veg and ended up spending £20.22, not sure how that happened, well I do 2 kids, husband and no list do not go together for money saving:(. Also nipped into Asian food shop and bought lots of bits for meals spending £13.50, my thinking is if I have the bits In to make curries etc then we shouldn't need to buy takeaways.
Also paid £5 off la r£doute and £15 of petrol in the car.
Right I hear a child thundering down the stairs, better make breakfast.0 -
Well I was having a good day, work was good everyone was in a bright happy mood due to long weekend, all the children well behaved etc.
Since I've got home its all gone down hill, Ds fell of his scooter, banging his leg putting him in a foul mood, which he has taken out on his sister and they have not stopped squabbling for the past hour.
On the money front small spend of £6 in the £ shop, needed some cleaning bits and DD needed hair bobbles.
Received a £10 sainsbug gift card from valu£d opinions.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend.0 -
Morning, not sure why I have come on as I don't feel a though I have anything positive to say
.
Spendy day again today, DD is at a pony club day, so that's £35 gone, I taking DS to the cinema, just me and him, DH can do whatever the h£ll he likes since he is not speaking to me, he was cr*ppy with me last night so I went to bed early. He is so hard to be around at the minute and just keeps complaining about the lack of money, feel as though I'm being blamed for it all.
Have done a few surveys this morning and adpoints.
Out at friends for tea tonight so need to get a bottle of wine to take, don't really want to go with OH being such a pain at the minute. The thought of spending the evening putting a fake smile on and playing happy families doesn't really appeal when all I want to do is rip his head off:rotfl:.0 -
Oh pennywise, so sorry to hear your a bit down in the dumps
. Id be reminding DH that he told me to change the flipping password, its MBNA he wants to take his frustrations out on!
Hope your ok xxMummytogirls x0 -
Chin up Pennywise, some days are sent to try us. Just keep looking at your beautiful flowers and smile.
I agree that when you don't have treats very often, they mean so much more when you do. Also when children grow up and you reminisce about the past, they don't remember the grand days out, they remember the trips to the swings and silly things like that.
Hope your day improves and you enjoy your evening.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Sorry to hear your OH is been a pain in the butt!
Hope DS is ok after his scooter incident xxx0 -
Afternoon.
Thanks mummy, yes I did remind him and told him in future he can sort it out himself.
Hi Jazee, I hope they look back with fond memories.
Hi Choo , DS is fine, more drama than him actually hurting himself.
So DH apologised for being a pain in the butt and came with us to the cinema, so cost a little more than planned. Resisted maccy D and came home and had soup and a cheese roll for lunch.
Have received Rent money so have paid £180 off barc card.
Sun is shining here but is not very warm, took the dogs for a wander up the lane and the wind was soo cold.
Hope everyones enjoying the weekend.0 -
:)Morning.
Lovely having an extra day off, plans today are to spend the morning tidying and baking, have lunch and then weather permitting we are going to go to the beach for a couple of hours.
Did the snowball calculator yesterday and it gave me 59 months until debt freedom, so just short of 5 years, I don't think so, need to knuckle down and try to overpay were possible, would like to do it in 3 but think its wishful thinking:(.0
