  • I will send you both over some cream scones tomorrow.

Went shopping this afternoon and spent £40.52 on groceries, pleased as I had set my budget this week at £40, but do still need to call into Sainsbugs tomorrow for a couple of bits I couldn't get tday, but I refuse to spend mre than the £5 that is in my purse. Also need to go to the Farm store and get animal food.

I have a couple of bids on the items on ebay and I hope to list more tomorrow.

I'm close to redeeming on 2 survey sites and what do you know but those pesky survey have dried up and vanished into thin air, why does that always happen it sooo .

Have finally found were the naughty chickens have been laying their eggs, found 10 this afternoon from the back of the woodshed, cracked them all to see if they were ok which they were so made a huge yummy cheese and onion quiche, had it with beans for tea. Also made some jam tarts with the left over pastry.

Tomorrow is going to be a cooking day , bolognaise sauce, cottage pie, scones and cakes.

Weather has turned pants here, so will have tea and scones in front of a good film tomorrow afternoon.

  • Morning,

Glad you solved the mystery of the eggs Penny! As for surveys I always find I would get to £9.50 and then they would dry up so I gave up as it was so frustrating!

Mrs PG, I should have done :p Instead I took away the laptop, made him do his homework at the table all week and made him sit with us every dinner time. I think it's nice for him to mix with us instead of sitting locked in his room alone and he thinks it's a punishment. So win win for me :rotfl::rotfl:

  • Good afternoon.

Another busy day, Postie brought me a £10 sainsbugs voucher from toluna this morning, which I have now spent.

Went to sainsbugs got few bits I couldn't get yesterday, including free pizza, also got a few store cupboard bits with the £10 voucher, total hard cash spent £1.55.

Went to farm store and got dog, cat and guinea pig food and a couple of bits for pony, will pay this next month when the bill arrives and because we always pay our bill on time we get a further 10% off :).

Spent the rest of the day in the kitchen I have made batter mix for tonights Toad in the Hole, scones, huge choc traybake, carrot and coriander soup, cottage pie, lasagne, chick pea and chilli patties and filing for steak and mushroom pie, going to have a cream scone and cup of tea shortly.

Have listed another item on ebay and have a few more to do, have had an email that there is 4 days free listing, so have until Tuesday to get a few bits on.

DD is out at the moment riding and DS s outside playing so the house is lovely and quiet, might go and dig around DD room and see if I can find anything to ebay.
  • You but me to shame with all your batch cooking! It all sounds delicious too.

Your sains shopping sounds worthy of being on extreeme couponing :p. that's my kind of shopping!! Xx

  • Thankyou PLMBL, I try to batch cook as it makes life easier for me with being at work everyday, by the time I've picked up children from school and then gone with DD to do the pony it's getting late and the last thing I feel like doing is cooking, but I know I need to cook from scratch to keep our food budget down.

I have listed a few more items on ebay today and have a few items ending today as well, anything that doesn't sell can be relisted.

Steak pie. mash and veg for tea, might also throw a rice pud in the oven if I get chance.

  • Not much happening today, been to work this morning and then got a few jobs done around the house.

Couple of spends today, paid children's dinner money £4.40 and put £20 of fuel in the car.

Tonight's tea is very unhealthy fry up, bacon, sausage, eggs beans, mushrooms and hashbrowns, nom nom.

Had a small payment of £3 from mysurv£y, currently have £12 in kitty for next weeks groceries, fingers crossed I get a few more sales on ebay to increase the grocery budget, I am enjoying the challenge of making money for extra groceries and leaving the bank account alone.

Still not reached payout on the 2 surveys sites, need 5p on valu£d 0pini0ns, had 3 surveys from them the last 2 days and have been screened out of all of them .
  • Still nothing exciting going on in the Pwps household.

Work is busy and we are off out on a class trip today, which should be fun and also means an hour overtime for me as we get back late, all helps.

Managed to cash out on 2 survey sites yesterday, £10 voucher on Ips0s and £3 on mysurv£y so should receive both of those in the next couple of weeks, still not got that pesky 5p on Val 0pini0ns, 2 surveys sent though and surprise surprise screened out of both.

    Take care pwps.x.
  • Good morning, very windy here and we are supposed to be getting heavy rain later, boo hiss I was enjoying the spring like weather.

Yesterday we had a lovely time on our school trip and the children were very well behaved.

DH seems to be exhausted at the minute and had fell asleep on the sofa by 8.30pm, i do worry about him and how hard he works.

DS is being a real sweetie at the minute (birthday soon) and is trying to be very helpful around the house doing little jobs, long may it continue, DD is very hormonal, do feel for her I remember how horrible it was heading towards and in those teenage years, she is also having bother with a child at school, school are onto it so hopefully it will be sorted out.

On the moneyfront I have£20 to pay off a cc today, I made a further £12 on ebay last night, still have afew bits listed to end at the weekend, not sure if they will sell though, redeemed £4 from pinecone, not keen on the new way of doing it, prefered just getting a paypal payment automatically.

Hope everyone is ok, take care pwps.x.
  • Freezing here and heating back on Penny. Still means i can dry the towels!
Hope school stop any nastiness asap.
