What a beautiful day it has been, finally feels as though the weather has turned a corner and spring is on the way.
Had a very spendy day, Farrier finally been after he cancelled last week, so pony has had her pedicure and new shoes and I'm £45 lighter in the pocket.
Nipped into Mr T on way home from work and only bought the toilet roll and bread I went in for, spent £2.67, also put some fuel in the car so another £20 gone.
Didn't get round to listing anythng on ebay over the weekend, but did have a few items ending and made about £12. Also chased a T0luna voucher I ordered back in December, hopefully I might receive it some time this year.
Both children seem to have so much on at the minute, both in and out of school and to be honest I'm finding it exhausting, feel as though I never get any quiet time. I know I shouldn't moan about having sociable kids, but it gets draining when I've been at work and just want to get my PJ's on and sit quietly and I then have to start taxi children around or I end up with a house full of kids I nearly rang work sick this morning because all I wanted was some peace and quiet. (ok moan over, I'm an ungrateful cow).
Hope everyone is ok.x.0 -
Life feels so much easier when the weather is good doesn't it!
I know what you mean about just having a bit of time to yourself though."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Time to ourselves seems to be a luxury that few of us have time for at the moment , as lovely as it would be !!
Did you ever read the children the book Five Minutes Peace, all about Mrs Elephants need for a quiet few minutes ? It was a firm favourite in our house !
Our time will come !!!xx

Don't bank on it! Mine are grown up but I still find myself running round after them, being Bank of Mum and Dad and rescuing them from what ever mess they get themselves into. Tonight I am sewing badges on a Scout uniform. DS can sew, unfortunately DD cannot.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Thanks guys.
I have had a bit of a meltdown to be honest after DS decided to be a little !!!!!! and was acting up, inviting mates round without asking even though I had already told him I wanted a quiet night tonight and generally just acting as though he was in charge. DH has dealt with him and taken him out for an hour to give me some peace.
Boden kindly sent me a £10 ff voucher (no min spend) and free delivery code, so I have ordered DD a top for the grand total of 80p :j.

DFW - Kid who'd have em.
Another mad few days here, generally running around like a headless chicken.
Couple of DD have left bank account today, so that a bit more off the debt, also made a £5 overpayment to a CC today, not much but at least its heading the right way.
Small spend of £1.20 today for kids tuck shop.
Managed to list 2 more items on ebay and I have a couple of bits to go on at the weekend, or sooner if I get the chance.
Received 2 vouchers in the post for free DrOetker panebello pizza, will get those tomorrow, freeish tea on Sat night then, will make some wedges to go with them nom nom.
Did some more baking last night, kids/DH seem to be eating loads at the minute, might get some cream tomorrow and make some scones for the weekend, hopefully we will have sun and can sit outside eating a yummy cream tea.
Better go and check the curry I have cooking, all leftovers bunged in it so hope it tastes ok.
Hope everyone is ok, take care.x.0 -
