Anyway moan over..................for now.
We make sure that in school during the run up to Christmas outlay is minimal for parents, recognising that times are tight for most.
We found a that a raffle run by our formidable you-cant-get-past-me school sec going into nativity and a couple of tins being rattled by 2 sweet adorable nativity characters on the way out raised far more money than charging for tickets (and we only charged £1) over 3 performances;)Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Good evening, can't believe it's been so long since I posted last, combination of things really, very busy at work and home with Christmas and we have also been a poorly household, we have all been ill with various bugs, I'm ill at the moment with high temp sore throat and my neck feels really sore, think my glands are swollen so trying to take it easy and only do the bare minimum.
We are almost ready for Christmas, Food shopping has all been done and I'm rather pleased that It hasn't cost us a fortne, have been getting bits for the past couple of months that could be put away or frozen, I received a £3 voucher for Tesco to be used on fresh carrots, parsnips or sprouts, so Christmas veggies were free, went to sainsbugs today and food shop came to £67, used £25 in nectar points and £20 in sainsbug vouchers from doing surveys, had a couple of other vouchers so chopping came to £21 something.
I still have some presents to wrap and tomorrow I will make mince pies and a Sticky toffee pud. Take away for tea tomorrow night money has been put to one side for this, so no putting on the CC:D.
I'm sure there is lots more that I need to update but my head is so fuggy I can't remember half the things I need to do.
WIshing everyone a Merry Christmas.

Morning Rags and thankyou.
Still have a sore throat this morning but feeling slightly more human.
I have so far managed to put gammon in the slow cooker so that is cooking away nicely and the dates for the sticky toffee pud are soaking, next job is the basket of ironing that has been sat in the dining room for a week:eek:.
Did think I was going have to go into town today as a cheque I had sent to post off!ce CC on the 10th still hadn't cleared yesterday and I was in a panic that I would get charged a none payment fee as it is due on the 26th,so thought I would pay off some over the counter, anyway it has cleared today, thankyou universe.
So as of Christmas eve all bills are paid, money is in pot for takeaway tonight, I have £7.64 I my purse, some of this will spent today as I am going to church later so will put some on the collection plate and there is also £42 in bank account, I can't see why I would need to spend this between now and payday though. So fingers crossed that it can be sent to Tesco CC.

Have a great xmas PWPS, whilst out walking the dog before I realised I hadn't taken the turkey out of the freezer, so dog had the quickest walk ever and turkey is now defrosting. If not thawed by tonight then I will have to cook it tomorrow. Thankfully we are having a late lunch.
Am working at Mr T till seven then straight to the chippy. Pj's and wine will be ready for me when I get home. Don't need to spend today but if I see a good bargin then might be tempted.xx:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000 -

Hope work isn't too crazy and fingers crossed for some bargains.
I love Christmas eve night, when I can start to relax with a glass of wine and it's too late if anything has been forgotten.0 -
