  • Good morning.

Another cold one, must put some extra straw in the chickens box to keep them snuggly.

Feeling much brighter today, also done a couple of jobs that I've been putting off and been niggling me, so that's made me feel better to.

Yesterday was a fairly boring day, work and then a few jobs at home.
Put £15 of fuel in the car, but will need to put some more in by the end of the week:(.

Tesco direct are driving me , ordered a xmas present for DS, it was supposed to be instore last Friday, still hadn't arrived yesterday and when I contacted them I was told it had been dispatched but could take up to 10 days to arrive , could have gone and bought it from argos as it was in stock, but thought it would be easier from TD as it mean't I wouldn't have to battle with getting into town and then trying to park, It's DS main present and I just want to have it in my hands, anything else I would'nt feel quite so jittery about, going to stop ordering xmas gifts online as I'm not having much luck with it :(.

    PWPS.x.

Today I need to get some t bags and some washing powder, so should be a low spend day.

Glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better and that you are getting things done.

The price of fuel is ridiculous. I have to drive into the city tonight and that will take £20 just for that one trip.

Ring tesco customer services and complain you might just get some of what you paid back. Not nice having to wait for something that should have been simple and straighforward. Hope you have a good day today.

Hope you get the pressie situation sorted, theres nothing worse than thinking you've got organised only for a company to muck it up is there!
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

  • Well the saga with Tesco Direct continues , rang customer services on Sunday to try to find out when the item would be delivered to store to be told it had arrived at the store on the 27th and been returned !!!!!!, to say I went ballistic was an understatement, no email, no contact nothing from them, then the woman on the phone asked me if she should re order the item and was I using the same card:eek::eek::eek:, I havn't been refunded for the original item why would I want another £180 taking from my card, she told me it would take 5-7 days for my card to be refunded for the original item, I was in tears by this point. SEnt a strong worded email to Tesco after the phone call, but have not yet heard anything back and to be quite honest don't expect to, only good point to all of this is that OH MANAGED TO GET THE SAME ITEM INSTORE FROM SAINSBUGS AND CHEAPER:j.

I have now decided that this is it with Tesco, I will no more shop in their stores or online sites, they are a useless bunch of ********.

    Sorry rant over:o.
  • SO payday has been and gone, few bills have gone out today, spent a small fortune on food shopping over the weekend £120 , did get a few foodie bits for xmas to put away and a couple of stocking fillers

I have poorly sick children so unable to go to work today, looking on the bright side at least it's my half day so only a mornings wage lost not a full day, saved on petrol and redeemed a £10 sainsbug voucher from T0luna, decided to check my point balance on there this morning and they have loads of new rewards, starbucks, sainsbugs, toys r us and a few more I can't remember, anyway a £10 voucher is 60000 points:D.

Also got voucher for petrol from sainsbugs for 10p off a litre, so I got DH to fill up my car yesterday when he was out so that saved me £5, £5 of fuel for free:j I was so excited, I know I'm sad.

Have ordered a few presents over the weekend for the kids and family, saved quite a bit with the deals that have been going on and have also either gone through quidco or nectar:D.

Hope evryone is wel and is having better luck than me with there xmas deliveries.

Vouchers sound good and I hope all your remaining deliveries go well, nothing more frustrating than not getting your order.

Fuel savings were great too, it all helps the pocket.

  • Good evening.

Its been a bit of a manic week and I will be totally honest in saying a really do not enjoy the build up to Christmas, I have a lot going on at work, children have lots of various activities going on at school and I am also trying to get organised for Christmas at home, all in all I feel as though the balls are about to be dropped at any minute.

I emailed Tesco direct a very snotty letter, anyway it seemed to have worked as I had an apology, a refund and an extra £15 as a goodwill gesture:D, still won't order anything from them again though.

Have done a few more bits of Christmas shopping this week and I'm slowly getting there and hope that I will be sorted by the end of next week so that I only have food shop to do.

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day as I need to do some shopping for my gran for Christmas as she is getting on and can't manage it herself, will take them to her on Sunday afternoon when we go to visit.

Also going for my hair cut this weekend, to say it is looking wild and wooly is an understatement.

Managed to redeem on 2 survey sites this week, £10 sainsbug voucher from one and £20 paypal payment from another, won't receive them until the new year but it's nice to know they are on the way for January as its always a tight month.

I'm sure there is more but can't think at the minute.

    Hope everyone is ok.x.

PWPS, glad things are going well if a little hectic. You've reminded me that I need to sign up to QuidCo, can't think why I haven't done it sooner. Thanks.
