  • Evening.

Been a really cold day today, even had to defrost the car. Woodburner is lit but did have to put CH on for half an hour this morning as the house felt really cold.

Went to church this morning with the children as it was the rememberance day service, so a small spend of £4 into the collection plate.

Came home did some baking and lots of washing, house looks a tip, but its my half day at work tomorrow so will give it a good clean then whilst children are still at school.

Speaking of children they have given me there xmas lists, so now need to start doing some shopping.

Have sold 2 items on ebay making £9.50, the other items did have watchers but didn't sell so have relisted, fingers crossed they go this time.

Still havn't done bills, must do them this evening.

Sausage, chips and peas for tea tonight not sure whats for pud, may have choc chip rock buns with custard.

  • Evening, quick update.

Yesterday I ended up nipping to Mr T for a few bits I forgot at the weekend, spent £8.08 but £3 of that was on a Lynx set on offer half price, Christmas present for DH cousin, will also be giving him a cheque, same principle as last year that it won't clear until January, so will come out of Jans budget also because I get Child ben 4 weekly I end up getting 2 lots in January :D.

I also put fuel in the car so another £20 spent.

Another small sale on ebay only £3.20, but a bit more for the pot, must update sig.

Still no payment from 0NEPOLL , emailed them this morning and they have replied apologising for the delay and that I will receive payment in the next few days, think someone has made an error their end.

Got up early this morning and chucked a load of veg in the slow cooker with some soup mix, smelt lovely when we got in tonight, so we had lovely homemade soup tea.
Need to do some more baking as kids have eaten everything I made at the weekend.

Trying to be extra careful with money, ebay money etc I've put into my savings account and will pay off CC if Its not needed, I don't know why but I keep getting a feeling that something is going to happen, have no idea why, its a strange feeling I have in the pit of my stomach.

    Hope everyone is ok.
  • Ooh how annoying, I hope the 1poll payment comes through quickly now.

Not liking the ominous feeling that money needs to be spent, hope it turns out not to happen.

  • Hi Penny

Sometimes when things run smoothly we get this fear that something has to come and mess it all up.

Hopefully we get nothing thrown at us that cannot be coped with.

Will be good to get that £50 from Onepoll.

Hope work going well for you
  • I hope your feelings (or intuition) aren't as bad as you think they will be. I had the same feeling last week and then all the problems with my tenant started!

My children did a santa letter and I told them to put 2/3 things on it (they cut out pics from the catalogue as ds2 can't write yet). They brought them to me half hour later with half the argos book stuck to their letter  I did it with the childminded kids too which was a big mistake because when I said only 2/3 things that they really wanted they kept saying to me, "no we get everything we want in our house not just 3 things, that's stupid" *grrrrrr* They then proceeded to tell my kids they were off to centreparcs for a holiday before xmas and now my kids are all upset :( I retaliated and said we were off to panto and just yesterday i found out all the kids from school will be going to panto for free (after i flipping paid) so he couldn't wait to come home and rub that in our faces too :( kids! sorry long rant totally digressing from original comment i was making :p

  • Morning ladies.

STILL no payment from onepoll and to say I'm p!$$ed off with them would be an understatement .

I used to tell my children that if you asked for more than 3 things then he would think you were greedy and not very nice, so even now they are older and don't believe theie lists tend to be quite short and means they still get surprise presents as they are not expecting everything.

DFW123 - I hate it when kids brag, mine always get a rollocking if they do it and double :mad: to the panto tickets.

So not much has been happening the last few days just the usual home/work/run round like an idiot routine.

Has been quite a spendy week though, groceries bought, Christmas presents and after school sports club for DS.

    Groceries - £11 roughly can't find receipt.
Presents, did quite well on these, bought quite a few from Debenhams most had 25% off and then found a code on hotdeals for a further 10% off, spent £48 but got free delivery for spending over £30:D oh and triple nectar points.
Sports club - £18, DS cost me a fortune with the amount of sports he plays, but at least he is as fit as a butchers dog as they say.

Still not 100% and have that nervy feeling but its not as bad as the other day, could just be this time of year, hate Nov/dec to many bad memories.

Must go and sort packed lunches out for the kids, HM soup for me today for lunch yum yum.
  • Don't forget your lunch!

I hope today is a better day for you :)

Totally agree on the not liking kids that brag or those that put 50 things on their xmas list :( ! It's made my kids think they can do the same, really not impressed! I will say to mine this weekend to re-look at their lists before we officially leave them out for santa and choose the 3 things we want the most ;) xx

  • Afternoon, can't believe I havn't posted all weekend.

Weekend has gone in a flash and was a busy one, had family over to stay which was nice, but also nice to get back to normal.

Saturday took relatives to a local market town, had a wander around only spend was £3.74 on sausages in the butchers, did then go onto sainsbugs and spend another £45, but stuck to the list.
Sunday was a NSD, went for a walk with the dogs and that was it, well except for some housework.

Had 2 small sales on ebay yesterday, made £2.03p and have finally today received 0nep0ll payment into paypal :j, which is really needed at the minute, also redeemed £10 sainsbug voucher from valu£d 0pini0ns.

Struggling to make any overpayments, any little bits I make seem to keep getting eaten up mostly by letters arriving back from school wanting money for this, that and the other, last week it was Christmas cards that the children have designed, had to buy them because the kids kept asking ad I felt guilty, why do schools do this it's so wrong to put parents in that position:mad: anyway the cost £6.50 a pack and of course they had both done a design, so £13 on blinking cards, oh we also had children in need, so had to send some money in for that as they had a dress up day, cake stall and somethng else, so another £3 each gone. Oh and a letter arrived home to say that they will be charging to get into the childrens nativity this year, £1.50 each and you have to buy tickets, so I will end up buying ones for all the family members that come as I feel cheeky saying come and watch the kids but it's going to cost you:(.

    Anyway moan over..................for now :D.
