  • Not much to update really, it's been a NSD and tomorrow should be as well.

Had HM soup for tea and it was very yummy, although hubby complained it was a bit runny, asked him how many time in 38years had he made soup (never) and told him if he could do a better job not to bl00dy well eat it and make it himself in future. Taken bologmaise sauce out of freezer for tomorrow nights tea so just need to warm that up tomorrow and cooked some pasta.

DD is off to a joint birthday party on Saturday afternoon so need to buy 2 presents on saturday morning.

Going to go and wack some washing on, finish washing the pots and do packed lunches then I'm watching 2nd part of silent witness.

    Hope everyone is ok.x.
  • I love silent witness glad it's back :)
  • Evening all.

Feeling rather subdued this evening, just feels as though it's been one of those days, work has been draining today and I feel exhausted, dealt with lots of difficult behavior with the little people I work with, work politics (adults) also difficult although I now try to keep my head down and not get dragged into things but not always possible. My 2 dear children have been little sods tonight and got to physically fighting with each other, I lost the plot in the end and sent them both to bed at 7pm as I was so cross with them both, havn't heard a peep since.
Still no Rent money, so the council now owe us 2 months rent money:mad:(housing ben is paid directly to us now for rental property), I know it is being sorted and we will get it eventually, but it is just utterly ridiculous how long it takes to sort out, it no wonder people end up in terrible situations when they lose jobs or split with partners and they have to rely on the state for help, it is amazing how quick they are to jump on people if they are a little late with thei council tax though.

Had a small spend today of £5.48 went to get some more milk, we seem to be going through loads, and there was some whoopsied packs of meat on the deli counter so I bagged them for packed lunches next week and I also needed tomato ketchup.

Spag bol for tea tonight, have taken a chicken out of the freezer for tomorrow nights tea.

Meeting a friend tomorrow for a quick drink, won't spend much though as I'm driving.

Hope everyone is ok, take care.x.
  • Hope today has been a better day Xx

  • Hey you! Hope drink with friend and a chinwag cheered you up a bit. We sometimes have those kind of days where everything conspires.

I hope today has been far better. If the children are fighting again, may I suggest making a ring on the living room floor and forcing them to fight for half an hour without stopping to cry or tell on each other under your watchful eye. Still remember my mum making my sister and I do this. Took about 2 minutes of forced fighting for us to both sit down, say sorry and not fight again for months! I was so worried I was going to be forced to do it again. When my sister was very small, she learned the F word from the local kids. Mum spent an entire afternoon making her say it over and over again. At first it was fun, then it was boring, and by the evening she actually asked mum if she could stop swearing. And didn't say it again for years :rotfl:

Cruel household... thinking about it.. LOL.

    Hugs to you! x

  • Morning(just).

Still feeling a bit :(, but things are not brilliant with DH.

Sorry I havn't updated for a few days, seems a bit maic a the moment with kids doing various things.

So what have I been spending -

    Friday:
Received my first veggie box and I'm quite impressed although not sure I would have wanted it if I'd paid full price, going to see how I get on with this over the next few weeks.

Met friend for drinks which was really nice to have a good gossip, spent £11.90.

Totted up weekly grocery spends as new week starts on a Saturday and I had under spent by £9ish (can't remember full amount) anyway I sent £10 to CC.

    Saturday :
New grocery week and spent £39.35 in sainsburys, put and order in for a veggiebox and also ordered some meat all to come on Friday which came to £30, so fingers crossed I don't need to buy anything else this week and I come in under budget again.

DD had a birthday party so spent £10 there on card/present.

Also received £3 from Mysurv3y so I sent this off to the CC.

Went out for a meal last night, it was with a club that DH is a member of and there was over 30 people there for the meal, didn't know anyone which was a bit scary but the people that I did chat to seemed nice, shame DH spent most of the evening ignoring me or if he really had to answer me it was brief one word answers, I was sat at the very end of the table with DH next to me but with his body twisted so that he could talk to people further up the table,I don't actually think he realizes what he is doing or how he treats me, tried to talk to him about it but he just ended up stropping, he then wonders why I don't want to go out and socialize with him.

    Today:

I have sold one item on ebay only for £2.40 but it all helps and will throw it at the CC when they pay up, have some more items ending later but I don't think they will sell so I will relist them.

Going to make some beetroot and chilli chutney and some cakes for lunch boxes, having curry for tea with chicken that was left from chicken I roasted on friday evening, have some Jkt spuds in the oven for lunch going to have them with some left over bolognaise.

Hope everyone is ok and not been blown away with this yucky weather we are having.
  • Sorry to hear things aren't great with DH again, especially less than 2 weeks since you had "The Chat". I hope you can work it out.

Any chance of some 'me' time for you in amongst all tha baking and rushing around?

Well done for coming in under grocery budget. I'm struggling to stick to mine which is ridiculous! Xx

I hope we work it out to, I just feel invisible at the moment.

I have a voucher for a local beauty place, I've decided I'm going to use it in half term and disappear for the afternoon:D.

I think the only reason I'm doing ok with the grocery budget is because we got so much chocolate and biscuits for christmas and we are still eating them.
  • Listed another item on ebay, fingers crossed I get some buyers.
