Evening all.
Soo cold here and the winds have started to pick up again, I feel like hibernating.
Yesterday was a NSD, we all took packed lunches yesterday and I didn't go near any shops, so didn't spend a penny.
Today I have spent £5.25 on cookery ingredients for DDs cookery lesson(which I had forgotten about), I am now in budget by pence, but I shouldn't need to buy anything until the weekend.
No more sales on ebay:(, had another Y0ug0v survey so I just need another £1.25 then I can cash out, fingers crossed this happens by the end of the month.
DH has really annoyed me tonight, he still hasn't handed in his tax stuff to the accountant, I thought he had done it today when he went to the dentist as they are in the same town, said no I didn't have time, !!!!!! he didn't have to get back for work or pick the kids from school so I have no idea why he didn't have time, just told him don't whinge at me when you get fined, you have no one to blame but yourself, It really annoys me that all he has to think about is himself and can't manage to do a simple thing, yet I'm expected to remember 101 things, it's like having a third child, I'm really starting to resent him and his lack of responsibility, struggling to even be around him at the minute.0 -
Awww pwps sorry to hear your OH is not pulling his weight, I have first hand experience of this with OH, so totally feel your pain. Could there be another reason why he didn't drop the stuff off, like is it all ready to go?.....just a thought.
Try and keep your chin up, you're doing a great job.

Hi Alice, thanks for popping by.
No you are right it's not ready to go, he only had all weekend off and could have sorted it then, but his attitude is why do today what you can put off until tomorrow, also why do it when eventually your wife gets p1££ed off and will do it for you,but guess what I'm not doing it. He is currently sitting watching you've been framed which of course is so much more important, I give up!!0 -
(((PWPS))) I am feeling the DH pain tonight also. I am feeling like this
As everyone knows my DH loves spending money so I try to keep this contained as much as possible.
For some reason his bill account is set up on his Paypal account and I can't remove it despite me adding another account and a different debit card.
I have told him not to use that account and he does it anyway.
Yesterday I noticed a Paypal payment had come out of the bill account - I explained again not to use that account and asked if there were any further payments to come out. He said there was 1 for £7.00.
(This is where I am annoyed with myself because I believed him, why do I believe him. I should have checked his Paypal account and I didn't)
So last night to stop him spending all his bill money I moved all but £25 out, this left enough for his £7 ebay purchase and for his pre-pay prescription to come out.
Today I log in and loads of Paypal payments have bounced
Yes, he did have a £7 payment to come out but he also had loads of others too which he did not tell me about.
Not sure what happens once Paypal know - do they email him to pay again although some of the items have already arrived? I wonder how many bounced direct debits he will get now??
I have calmly explained it all to him and he did the vague look which means I'll say nothing and look vague while I think of a good excuse which I hope she will believe. This is his look -
Lets hope he gets charged and it will teach him a lesson.
The items he has purchased are for a car we picked up for our DS over the weekend - he has ordered loads of stuff for it that we don't need.
I swear I may kill the man one day
I have tried again to remove the bank account and it won't let me - it says transaction pending still.
If he uses that account again I will change his Paypal password and then he can't buy anything!!0 -
Sorry for the DH problems.
Eager_Elephant - I think the bounced DD will put his paypal balance in negative, so he'll have to add funds to it to take it out of negative before he can spend again.
My bank charges £10 for a bounced DD - it could be an expensive lesson for your OH!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Oh dear
Sorry to read about the other half PWPS... please please do not give in and do it for him!! That man thing of, waiting until you do it for him, or doing it so badly you just take over yourself, or complimenting you on the great job you do which is so much better than the way he does it... All makes me SO angry!!
EE oh em gee at your OH. I would have changed the password years ago. I actually closed down my paypal account(s) recently, as thanks to people sending money to the wrong email addresses repeatedly I had 4!! Maybe you could just close it down and force him into creating a new one which he solely covers with his spending money account? Then again... what is to say that he won't just end up in the red because of his spending habits I suppose?

Afternoon all, It's been a busy few days so sorry for not posting.
FRIDAY:
Had a god awful day at work, I have decided ti is just a job, I go in do what is expected and do not do anything over and above and forget about it once I have walked out of the door.
Veggie box was delivered and some lovely bits, also received a free loaf of bread, went over budget though by £1.68.
Decided as I had had such a carp day that me and DH would go out for tea, spent £35, but we had a good evening, had a good chat about things and feel much better for it.
Saturday: (New week for grocery budget)
Went to Small town as DS needed a haircut which cost me £6, decided to do some shopping in sainsbugs, spent £65:eek:, think grocery budget will be way over this week as this leaves me with £10 for fruit and veg box on friday:(.
Sold 2 items on ebay but i'm waiting on 1 to pay, made a payment of £2.50 t0 t3sco CC, also listed 3 new items.
Today:
Another spendy day, got up early and did some washing and made celeriac soup nom nom and sausage rolls.
Went to A$da as DH was passing on way to accountant, got some fuel £30, spent £12 on tights and school shirts for DD (came out of clothes budget), £14 on a new frying pan and picture frame (misc budget) and £17 on more groceries :( (not needed, mostly carp).
I have 3 items ending on ebay today, 1 has bids, so fingers crossed they pay up and I will make another paymant to te$co CC, also redeemed £10.70 from a survey site which will take around 10days to hit account.
Still need to make some cupcakes for lunch boxes and do some ironing, but need to take DD to do the pony when she has finished her homework.
Hope everyone is ok.x.0
