  • Afternoon all, I've spent the morning stod by a football pitch cheering DS and I'm so cold, cannot get warm and I've been back in the house an hour.

Not posted properly since Friday so need to catch up.

    Friday:

One of the worst days at work for ages but I'm not dwelling on it, wa super stressed though and ended up in the supermarket, bought wine, chocolate and some packed lunch bits for Saturday, spent £27, this sent my grocery budget over by £33:mad:, I'm bl**dy useless.

Veg box was delivered, also ordered some cheese and yoghurts, not overly impressed with the yoghurts, will continue to get them from aldi.

    Saturday :

Had a lovely day out at a local wildlife place, they had a special offer on this weekend that you didn't have to pay the ticket price just make a donation, so instead of it costing us £50 to get in I donated £15 and gave the kids £5 spending money for the gift shop, we took a picnic with us as there is an indoor picnic area and I bought us all a hot choc (£7.20) to keep us warm, was a lovely day out and we all had a fab time.

I stopped off at ald! on the way home as we were passing saved me going today and I spent £24.

Tidied bank account up and sent £3.70 to Tesc0 CC.

Will update more later as I need to go and take cakes out of oven.

    Ta tar for now.x.

m0957.gif PWPS - we do not use phrases like the bit in bold on MSE:D
The correct sentence is - I went over budget but as I am learning what makes me visit the supermarket and buy more shopping I hope to address it over the next few weeks/months.
I will of course attempt to come under budget next week/montht5110.gif

Love the day out at the wildlife park - what a great idea at a quiet time of year for them and also for a month when people don't have much money.

Hope your cakes come out lovely p0102.gif
  • Seconded on the useless part ;) you are not! You are fabulous and you do precisely what I do when you feel a bit battered on all sides and stressed... buy things in the supermarket that make you feel happy! At least then we can pass it off as a grocery overspend rather than a blowout in Debenhams because we are too MSE for that ;) shame the guilt feeling is almost immediate. Still... chocolate and wine.... mmmmmmm!

Wildlife park sounds like a great idea! Well done them and nice that you could offset some of the cost to give yourselves a bit more of a treat!! :T xx

  • Thankyou each and everyone of you, you all made me smile.

Today work has been ok, nothing like Friday which was so bad that if I had been debt free I'm positive I would have handed my notice in .

Today has been a NSD, not much has been done this evening, just helping kids with homework, making tea and caught up with surveys.

Made a small over payment to CC of £1.01.

Off to wash up and then watch Br0adchurch.

    Take care.x.
  • I know those days... sometimes I wonder how on earth I am still at my company and have been for over 5 years now... I never managed more than 2 years anywhere else!

Enjoy your evening, and hope work continues to get better!! xx

  • Evening all,

Much better day at work today, so fingers crossed the little darlings behave themselves for the rest of the week.

Had HM quiche, jkt spuds and beans for tea, going to go and make scones shortly as we have some cream to use up so we can have cream scones for supper, nom nom :D.

Finally redeemed £50 from y0ug0v, takes around 4 weeks to land in account though, but its more pennies to the CC when it finally arrives. Checked banking this morning and I had received £10.70 from pan3lbase, so i have sent this to t3sco CC along with an extra 15p to round down bank account.

Can't wait for payday on Friday wen I can send a bit more to CC, although I can't go mad in Feb as its DD, DH and MIL birthday .

Hope everyone is ok, wrap up warm and batten down the hatches if snow is heading your way.x.
  • Just popped on to see if you had cashed out on YG - I got a survey this morning and wondered if you would get the same one:T

Blinkin' birthdays, always there to trip us up. I seem to have loads all at once and then luckily quite a few months with none.

I am also on countdown to payday which is on Thursday.
