If you install the free version of ccleaner, you can selectively clean your cookies. For example, keep everything apart from Nationwide cookies.0 -
Yes not done anything special to Chrome. It used to work fine and then one day stopped and has never worked since then. I have used CCleaner before so I will have a go of that over the weekend - thanks. I wonder if whatever they do will solve my problem?The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

I doubt it - it looks like just general scheduled maintenance/upgrades from the content of the message.
Your problem is most likely an issue on your computer, rather than with Nationwide's system (as it's working fine for everyone else).0 -
I think that's highly considerate of them to schedule maintenance in the small hours of a Sunday as apart from a handful of folks I doubt many will be doing their banking then and I suspect Nationwide will have taken a look at their network traffic patterns before making this decision in order to minimise impact.
As I say to others on other forums who complain about their broadband going down at 3.30 a.m., just like your car/motorbike/heating system, mainteance is sometimes required to keep it running smoothly or improve its performance, if you are unhappy with the time suggested can you suggest a better time?
I'll work my way back through the thread and see what I can suggest DustyKitten but as others have suggested, clearing your cache is a good idea as a starting point, you should be able to untick cookies so that these are not affected.Interests: PCs. servers, networks, mobiles and music (esp. trance)0 -
@Dustykitten
Your issue is that the site will not work correctly via Chrome or is just slow via Chrome?Interests: PCs. servers, networks, mobiles and music (esp. trance)0
