Nationwide online banking problem

Anyone having problems connecting to Nationwide online banking via IE9? I can get the Nationwide webpage but clicking on Login gets me a page cannot be displayed error.

I can access it with Firefox, Chrome and Opera but not with IE.

I use IE9 and logged onto Nationwide this morning with no problems.

Just had a look now and everything seems alright.

Perhaps there was a glitch of some kind earlier.

    Good luck

Have just fully logged into my account, using card reader. No problems at all.

Has the problem using IE9 always been there or is it recent?

Look at Tools, Compatibility View, and make sure it's not checked. That can sometimes cause problems with web pages.

Not sure what else to suggest.

I haven't used it in months. I used it frequently when I used their credit card with no fees abroad. Since they introduced fees I only use it occasionally.

It's not checked nor listed in the compatability view settings.

I've no idea what's going on either. At least I can get access with other browsers but I would like to know why my IE won't display the page when you obviously can.

    Thanks for trying though.

I too am experiencing this problem. The error message relates to enabling SSL and TLS protocols (which I have), and I haven't been able to find a solution anywhere online (although I haven't searched exhaustively).

Nationwide's online banking is the only website I've encountered so far that results in this issue. I suspect it's environment specific to the client's machine and operating system.

Same here. No problem with any other https sites. SSL and TLS protocols all enabled. At least I know it's not just me. Could it be related to your Internet provider?

Is it worth clearing cookies, temporary internet files, history etc. to see whether that makes a difference?

I have Rapport installed and Microsoft Essentials.

Tested in IE10 and all ok, could be due to changes made to make it compatible with IE10

    Try this;:

Go onto the Online Banking page
    Press Alt and T
    Click Developer Tools
Click Browser Mode and Select IE8
Click Document Mode and also select IE8

    Does the error clear?

I've tried forcing IE10 into IE9 mode doing that and cant reproduce the problems you are experiencing

BTW, what version of Windows are you using, Vista, 7 or 8 as you haven't stated.

    Using 7 here
