Tested in IE10 and all ok, could be due to changes made to make it compatible with IE10

    Try this;:

Go onto the Online Banking page
    Press Alt and T
    Click Developer Tools
Click Browser Mode and Select IE8
Click Document Mode and also select IE8

    Does the error clear?

    No it makes no difference.

BTW, what version of Windows are you using, Vista, 7 or 8 as you haven't stated.

    Using 7 here

    Windows 7.

Is it worth clearing cookies, temporary internet files, history etc. to see whether that makes a difference?

    Made no difference.
I have Rapport installed and Microsoft Essentials.

No Rapport but I do have Micrsoft Essentials.

Nope I cannot replicate the problem.

If it's working via other browsers that rules out an ISP routing or DNS problem.

I'll try rolling back to IE 9 tomorrow but at the moment it looks to be something on your machine to be honest.

    Try flushing IE's cache:

    In IE:

    Press Alt and T
    Go to Internet Options
    Click Delete under browsing history
Untick everything apart from the first two boxes
Click Delete and wait for the progress bar to disappear.
Close and reopen Internet Explorer and then try again.

I suspect it is but as sensory says, it's the only website that gives me a problem.

Thank you although I suspect you will have no problem. A Google search does reveal that others have the same problem but as yet I haven't found anyone with a solution.

For some reason Windows is balking at trying to uninstall IE10

I wonder if it's an add on that's misbehaving as some can and end up causing all kinds of weird behaviour.

Try this which will fix the problem if it is an add on:

Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (no add ons)

    Try to log into Nationwide.

Still the same I'm afraid so doesn't seem to be add on related.

I can access it with Firefox, Chrome and Opera but not with IE.

No but IE10 works fine (Windows 7).

Have you checked that these settings have not changed (maybe by another programme)

Have you tried disabling your security/virus software temporarily to see if it works. Is Nationwide's site down as a trusted website in its settings?
