Mine doesnt mention cleaning with alcohol? (although a few comments have mentioned using it with alcohol! :rotfl:) All mine says is to use the little brush and/or run under the tap? Is yours a wet and dry?
My epilators a dry one strange mine says clean with alcohol I got my epilator when they first came out maybe they have changed the cleaning instructions since then.0 -
So, if using your epilator in the shower is good because the pores are opened by the heat so it's easier to get the hair out, why do some of them come with a cold pack?Signature removed for peace of mind0

Ice numbs the area, so less painful, and might be a good idea afterwards, I suppose. Not a great idea before, I'd have thought....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

I bought mine for intimate areas - but I just can't "pluck" up the courage....0

As said before , wine helps. Do one area at a time. With below the belt hair - start from skin on sides, groin area which is not that close to private sensitive bits , enjoy hairlessness there and each consecutive time move tiny bit further. Watch for inner labia getting caught by it !

I DID IT! :j Underarms and bikini line, I may have been singing just a little bit loudly and my eyes may have watered just a little bit too:eek:
Actually I would agree with those who said they found the bikini area easier and less painful than the under arm - the under arms were shocking! Strange but true!0 -
I gave up on mine, left my legs covered in tiny red spots that didn't go away for a very lonnnnnnng time!0

I know nothing about these epilator things.
However, as far as painful hair removal goes, a certain review from Amazon for Veet Hair Removal Cream is quite amusing...

I have used an epilator for years and find it not too painful. However, it's really only good for finer areas of hair like the legs and forearms. Once a month should be enough and the hairs do grow back finer. Not good I think for bikini line or underarms because that really will be much more painful.0

I use mine as often as I feel brave enough to.
I think the main problem with the underarms is that its right by your face and you can see it. Pain wise. Would rather do that than my lady parts.
If doing your lady parts. best to trim the hair a bit so that it doesnt grab loads at a time. I tend to wax parts and epilate parts. I've been doing it for about 10 years now on the front of my legs and I have bald spots....
