Epilator - I just bought one very mse but HELP!...

Well, I'm one of those 'strange' people who really don't mind it.
Have to say, the ankle area is a little on the 'ouch' side - but for me it was the same with waxing. I have never used it under my arms - but never waxed here either. For some reason I thought this would be too painfull for me to cope with. Have used it on bikini line - doesn't bother me.
Tend to use it about once a month.
However
I invested in a NO NO! Best thing I ever did. It takes commitment, but hairfree heaven (~and totally painfree too!).
ooo I saw them advertised! couldnt quite work out what they actually are though, does it really do what it says on the tin?0 -
Well....I gave it a go. Not quite as painful as I remembered, had to go over and over and over my legs not sure whether this is due to the fact my leg hair is still fairly short or not. This is a wet/dry epilator too so will use it in the shower tonight

I did the same this morning, but then i did read to not use it like a shave and zip up and down (which I did hoping it would be quicker and ease the pain :rotfl:) they have to be used really slowly so they say? They say if you feel nothing there is no hair to pull!
Well done you thoughI'll report on the under arms later, which will be a very quick zip up and down i fear! :rotfl:

I've been culminating hair "below the waist" and am slightly tempted to try that just for a laugh/cry?! I'm abit sadistic I think?! Yeah I was going up and down, I did feel hair being pulled so must be long enough I just can't have been going slow enough

I do worry, as a result of this thread there might be many households across the uk wondering why their ladies are locked up in the bathroom, a strange machine making a racket, wine in hand/and or singing, screaming, crying, laughing, asking if there's any frozin peas in the freezer, all done very loudly  :rotfl:0 -

I have one and am struggling to get to grips with it.m. I am trying thou. It is painless, but I find it hard to geta totally hair free finish and it takes a LONG time to do some areas, plus, doesn't last very long.
Hair removal is such a pain. I honestly find shaving the very best finish, nothing else seems as smooth as freshly shaven, but its just that you have to do it so often to maintain that extremely smooth finish.0 -
I've never tried an epilator before, i'm an absolute wuss with pain! But reading this thread gave me a right giggle, thanks ladies! x0

ewww - they aren't an item I'd want to share, personally....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
As said before , wine helps. Do one area at a time. With below the belt hair - start from skin on sides, groin area which is not that close to private sensitive bits , enjoy hairlessness there and each consecutive time move tiny bit further. Watch for inner labia getting caught by it !The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.0
