Afternoon everyone. I'm having a bit of a downer day. I'm bored at home and not sure what to do.

Still 1 week and 5 days till my due date and my antenatal appointment this morning didn't help. Got to see the doctor instead of the midwife as she was running late (how can you be running late half an hour into the day?!), so now I have seen 2 different doctors and 3 different midwives during my pregnancy. Can you imagine if there was anything slightly abnormal with my pregnancy how many times I would have to explain it to people?!

BF has just rang to say that he boss has finally put last month's wages into his account, but when I looked, they are not there and his boss is having a bad time of it as a cheque his biggest account just gave him has bounced. Now I'm stressing that bf will be out of a job and I'm sitting at home bored waiting for a baby to come out. I can kinda see where the term baby blues comes from now. Not that I would ever wish that I wasn't pregnant, but I can see how this is not a good time in the world for a bubba to be born and for one (possibly two) of us to be out of work.

Sorry for the whinge. Wasn't even anything about the baby. On a plus note, my bp was fine, my pee was fine, baby is growing well, pointing in the right direction and her heartbeat is fine. However, she's still not engaged, so no sign of her soon!

Millie had talipes in both feet when born, it looked really bad (the tops of her feet touched her shins) but it was corrected with physiotherapy which we used to do everytime we changed her nappy. Whilst her feet aren't the prettiest (she looks a bit flat footed) you can't even tell she ever had anything wrong with them.

If they give you exercises to do with Florence just make sure you keep up with them, I know someone whose daughter had slight talipes and she only did the exercises with her for a short time, the little girl is now 2 and has been referred back to hospital because her feet turn inwards and it seems it could have been avoided entirely.

Well I had my coloscopy appointment today - wasn't anything scary :) Told them I was just short of 9 weeks pregnant and they were happy to still have a look etc but unless they found anything of serious concern they'd not do any biopsy's which they might normally.
Good news is that the only thing she could see was a tiny area that might have had some viral change, very common and nothing to worry about. Even if I hadn't been pregnant she said she'd only have biopsy'd it if I'd wanted. And she doesn't think there is any need for me to come back but just have another smear at my surgery 6 months after bubba arrives will be absolutely fine. If there are abnormalities again they will refer me back to her.
So... all good - and apparently I have a textbook cervix! So check us out with all our textbook stuff!
Have midwife checking in appointment next tuesday... Can't wait!

Glad it was good news Mrs Tine.

I haven't really much to report this end, I have been having brown bloody kind of jelly discharge for most of week but has stopped now, midwife thinks it might be infection so had swab done at doctors, results next week.

Baby gave me a bit of a scare as no movement from yest morning but he perked up this afternoon. To be fair it was my birthday yesterday so I was busy all day and then out for a meal in the evening.

My 20wk scan is a week on monday so nervous about that..

    Keep well

Brilliant!! Congratulations! I'm so jealous that you know the sex though, I want to know now! I'm having a scan done at 20 weeks at the private hospital to find out then.

    Evening ladies!

Got back from our hols about 10pm last night, I need another holiday to get over that one, I'm sooooooo tired! I didn't over indulge in anything, just had a lovely relaxing break, but I was gutted that most days I didn't feel like eating anything, because the foods looked glorious, just the smell of anything put me right off, hmmmph!

Had my dating scan today, I'm 9 weeks and 6 days ~ not bad, I thought I was 10 weeks so I'm only 1 day out!

EDD is now the 9th May, not the 8th (which is sons bday!). Got 2 pictures and Steve's already nabbed one for his wallet, bless him :)

I've got my 20 week scan on the 23rd Dec, which is Steves birthday, (the day after mine!) so we had to get a letter to confirm the scan, because I'm guessing his work won't believe why he needs the morning of his bday off lol!
