DD's had what we thought was a cold the past few days and has been taking paracetamol as adviced by the doc. It's now looking like hayfever/allergy are there any tabs she can take safely, even homeopathically?"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Doc normally gives me an inhaler and eye drops for hayfever when I'm pregnant, although I've had the pupps rash so they gave me priton which is for hayfever also, only thing is it's makes you drowsy.0

I went to Home and Bargain in the week and picked up some ROC Maternity Anti stretch marks gel, which was sitting next to the normal anti stretch marks gel, same price, £3.99.
I've used it already even though I'm only 8ish weeks. I won't make the same mistake as last time! I had my son and didn't have a mark on me. When I was pregnant with my daughter I was bouncing around thinking I was Gods gift saying to my then OH, get on that, NO stretchmarks at ALL, in yer faceee!
He said "Errr go and get a mirror and look under your bump  ":rotfl: :rotfl:
I have got the start of a strange little mark already - it's kind of purple and is indented (like a varicous vein in reverse) and is to the right of the top of my bikini line IYSWIM. I am rubbing it with Roc AND Bio-oil and taking comfort in the fact that I won't be able to see it soon enough!!!
Edit to say - Candygirl, get your DD to see the Doc again. I wouldn't advise taking Piriton without consulting the doc first...many docs won't prescribe it as an antihistimine anymore, it is a very outdated drug and can have some extreme side effects, one of which is to lower the blood pressure which would def not be good whilst pregnant.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Seems like you have been pg for ages already!

I'm suffering pretty bad at the mo, constantly feel sick and have got severe back ache which apparently will get worse (I have suspected squashed discs in my lower spine) plus sciatica
And now my hips are killing me, I feel like I'm waddling already and i'm only 9 weeks!
Yes I've told DS, he wants a baby brother called Georgie bless him.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -

I'm OK hun......feeling absolutely knackered though! I've been tucked up in bed all weekend reading a book, I finished it before then decided I better get my backside into gear and start sorting our clothes out for our holiday.
NOTHING I bought especially for my hol fits me  my boobs have taken over planet earth, so everything is tight across my chest. Looks like I'll be nicking Steves tshirts to wear cos I'm not gonna be spending out more money now just for one week.
They all sent out for pizza last night and for once in my life I didn't want anything at all. I've only eaten a bowl of cereal today.....I keep smelling burgers (!!!!!!??) even though there aren't any around me and it's making me feel sick as a pig! I LOVE burgers so I think this is mother natures way of telling me they are bad for me :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hello, another newbie here! My name is Emma (if you had not have guessed already!!) and I am 9 + 1 weeks pregnant with my first child!! At the mo it doesn't seem real although the loss of waist line, heatburn, nausea, sore boobs and extreme exhaustion tell me other wise!!! My EDD is April 24th although this could change at my dating scan on October 15th! DP is still in shock but I know this will change once he sees bump on the screen!2013 wins: Persil Bunny0

That makes you at least the third Emma on here, I am 8 + 4 so just after you, and I know what you mean about the side effects (is that the right term). I am not feeling that tired yet, but DH seems to be?? sympathy pains or does he realise that this means he can lie in bed more,,,:p
