  • I'm not due till 18th May MFD... Not put myself on the list yet either lol... Thought I would wait for the booking in visit in Oct and get everything confirmed... Just to be sure...

is it true that the smaller your feet are the more painful/difficult the birth?
  • Never ever herd that vixarooni... I have size 8 feet and I didn't exactly 'cough' DD out...

  • I am pretty sure that there is no correlation between the size of your feet and giving birth...however, I am a size 7 or 8 so this may be one scrap of nonsense that I take to heart as I approach the big day :rotfl:

I keep meaning to pass on my moneysaving tip but baby-brain is getting worse :o

In homebargains at the moment they are doing bio-oil for £3.99 for 60ml. Still not cheap but the best I have seen (supposed to be v v good for stretchmarks) they also have ROC retinol anti-stretch mark cream for £3.99 too...have used this today and a little goes a long way!

I know people recommend the cocoa butter creams and I packed one when we went to america...but to me it smells of chocolate (specifically of caramac) and whilst I really liked it at first it started to make me nauseous after a while. When I decided to leave it in america (thinking of the weight of the case after my splurge on maternity clothes) hubby said he was glad because he wasn't looking forward to me smelling like a chocolate factory for the next 5 months.

  • Congratulations Lindseyand Matthew.:T:T

MFD : I hope you are feeling ok and had a good rest up I have had a few near misses of tripping over my own feet, I am convinced the bump throws your balance off!

Also today the baby kicked me really hard and I got a sensation I can only describe as someone twanging an elastic band at my stomach , it was quite sharp and brought tears to my eye but then after mins it had passed, has anyone else felt anything like this??
I thought maybe it could be a ligament stretching or something because other than this I feel fine?
Anyway OH is fussing around me now as he was there when it happened and is worrying about me, am just trying to convince him it's just growing pains!
  • I don't like the smell of cocoa butter either I find it too sickly sweet and always have, I've found that the body shop do a brazil nut body butter which is really similar but smells a lot nicer.

Am def going to pick some \roc cream up tho as its supposed to be really good so thanks for that tip. :D
I am pretty sure that there is no correlation between the size of your feet and giving birth...however, I am a size 7 or 8 so this may be one scrap of nonsense that I take to heart as I approach the big day :rotfl:

I remember the midwife telling me that the size of your feet has something to do with the size of your pelvis, so anything smaller than a size 4 and you have to be assesed further as to whether you might need a c-section. So it doesnt make it easier to give birth unlucky for those with bigger feet and lucky for those with smaller! :D

  • Well not posted in a while been away in Gran Canaria on Holiday and have spent a few days catching up on everyones news! Congrats and well done to all the new mummy's! ( I dont literally mean 'have a beer' I mean Cheers! hehe)

Well Holiday was lovely, until we found out XL had gone into administration the friday after getting there on the tuesday:mad: Arghh!!! Thats who we flew with and we have a timeshare at anfi del mar so we had flight only deals and guess what were not ATOL protected! So had to buy more flights to come home costing a ridiculous £900, and we had to leave early! Not what we needed. Have to start saving for bubs all over again! At least Im only 10 weeks (almost) So we have a bit of time!

But what was supposed to be nice stress free, sun drenched holiday before new arrival next year turned into a bit of a nightmare!

But home and safe now and still waiting for booking in appointment, so hope that comes through soon or Ill be half way there before I get my dating scan.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend x
