Just to let everyone know my planned c section went okay on Monday and I now have a beautiful baby girl caled Emma Olivia Wright weighing 8lb 10oz. I have 2 sons so we are made up to have a little girl.

She is really good sleeping and feeding very well.

Congratulations to anyone giving birth recently and good luck for those about to.:beer:

In homebargains at the moment they are doing bio-oil for £3.99 for 60ml. Still not cheap but the best I have seen (supposed to be v v good for stretchmarks) they also have ROC retinol anti-stretch mark cream for £3.99 too...have used this today and a little goes a long way!


I know people recommend the cocoa butter creams and I packed one when we went to america...but to me it smells of chocolate (specifically of caramac) and whilst I really liked it at first it started to make me nauseous after a while. When I decided to leave it in america (thinking of the weight of the case after my splurge on maternity clothes) hubby said he was glad because he wasn't looking forward to me smelling like a chocolate factory for the next 5 months.

I went to Home and Bargain in the week and picked up some ROC Maternity Anti stretch marks gel, which was sitting next to the normal anti stretch marks gel, same price, £3.99.

I've used it already even though I'm only 8ish weeks. I won't make the same mistake as last time! I had my son and didn't have a mark on me. When I was pregnant with my daughter I was bouncing around thinking I was Gods gift saying to my then OH, get on that, NO stretchmarks at ALL, in yer faceee!

He said "Errr go and get a mirror and look under your bump :rolleyes: "
