morning - Was most put out last night. I went to put on the outfit I had worn on Sunday and I couldn't get my belt to tie :O Then at dinner I had to excuse myself from the table and take my bra off as it was giving me really bad backache  How did that happen - everything was just fine a few days before :D

Just a quick note to say that Ross Steven arrived at 11.03pm on the 12th September weighing a wopping 10lb 5 and a half ounces in a planned homebirth. Even the midwife was wondering where I had hidden a baby that big cos my bump wasn't big just very high until just before he was born. My biggest baby before that was 7lb 4oz so quite a difference!
Will post pics later just wanted to share my good news and wish everyone else on here well.

Ok, Ladies I need some help.

Where is the best place to get Maternity clothes that don't break the bank, my wife's on the verge of tears as she can't find anything the ranges are just so poor, she's tried Mothercare, Dotty P's, New Look and she just can't find anything she says she doesn't want to spend £30 on just one pair of trousers etc.

    HELP PLEASE

i appreciate what you are saying.

although i have never bought clothes on ebay, but is it worth a try? i know you dont have the ability to try before you buy but you might pick up some bargins. could you advertise 'wanted' on freecycle for some clothes?

not sure what other department stores do maternity clothes.

in my area, you have your 'booking in' appointment with your midwife (which is the first time you see her) when you are about 8 weeks.

I am either 8 or 12 weeks and I went to see the doc and told him who booked me in for scan next week - but heard nothing about seeing a midwife...... should I have or do I wait until after scan?

oh i'm not sure. might be worth ringing your gp surgery and see what the procedure it.

when i got my positive result i spoke to the doc on the phone who said he doesn't really become involved until later and that i should come in and make the appointment with the midwife.

can see why you are having your scan though because if you are 12 weeks then it is around the right time, but if you aren't sure, say 8 weeks then they can date you properly.

    i would phone the surgery.
