    Hi there

Congratulations on your scan! I can't wait for mine to come around (although I don't have a date yet for it yet as I'm only just 5 weeks pg!!!!!)

I seem to have gone past the excited bit and have gone onto a bit of a worrying streak at the mo...which I hope won't last too long

  • Hello all,
I've finally told a few friends (will be 11 weeks Wed...I think....although beginning to wonder if I'm further along...) Feels nice to have a few people around who know, I'm grateful for the support! I think the morning sickness is starting to wear off a bit, which is fab. I've been feeling terrible for weeks! I STILL don't have a date for my scan, although I'm 11 weeks! I haven't gotten my papers back yet from the hospital and its been 2 weeks since my booking in appointment. How long does it normally take? (The way it works here the MW sends the documents to the hospital, then they forward them on to me....) I'm getting antsy!

    Morning all,

I am off for my 12 weeks scan (I am 12+4 today) at 12.00 pm today.

Scared, nervous, excited, anxious - all feelings going through me at the moment. I was really teary last night about it. Silly I know, but I am just having all these emotions and for someone who is a highly emotional person anyway, being pregnant can take it to a whole new level sometimes.

Hubby is coming with me which is brilliant. I feel really bad for my parents as they are half a world away and all my dad wants for father's day (this coming Sunday in Oz) is a scan pic of his grandchild to frame and put on his desk (so not normally the emotional or sentimental type of man). I think all of that is tugging on my heat strings re the scan which is making me more emotional.

The thought of actually seeing our baby is one of amazement and nervousness. Nervousness for the fact that it is going to show us that we are actually having a baby (other than just a blue line saying so). In terms of amazement, the confirmation that i have a baby growing inside me, something that makes my husband and i a family now.

Eek, and they will be taking my blood today too. My veins do not like to show themselves and i do not give up my blood very easily. Not the bit i am looking forward to i must say.

Sorry for the long post first thing this morning but i have all these thoughts running around in my head. I will post when I get back to let you know if we got a good picture of the baby.
