I'm soooo jealous you're getting a holiday.
I have exams in Novemebr so by the time I've done studying I'll have no days left to take and probably be at a stage where I don't really want to go anywhere anyway...:(26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

you have certainly lived up to your inspired AM's 'changing your life club' haven't you0 -
Just have a quick question re surnames when you are not married.
There won't be a problem when I get the baby registered under my bf's surname, will there, as obviously he will be registered as the baby's father?Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

Hi guys!
This will be my 4th time in Vegas...2nd time this year actuallywe were there for New Year!
I struggle to do a whole week in vegas when not pregnant (mainly because I refuse to relax when there is so much to do  ) so we will be spending 3 nights there then off across the desert for some relaxing time up near san francisco / monterey for a week or so. We have decided to stay a minimum of 2 nights everywhere other than Death Valley to make it a bit more relaxing than our usual do-as-much-as-possible holidays.
AF - 'oscar'...is that the name of the moment??
AM - CONGRATULATIONS! When's your due date? Very early days to be having a scan! Could you see the heart beat?
SB - we leave on Sunday for 2 weeks - back on 08 September in time for the impending influx of births on here
pollyanna24 - my brothers kids have both taken his name even though he is not married to their mother (still together) There isn't a problem as long as you sign to say he is the father...not sure of the current legal status but you may need to fill in some forms to give him legal 'parental responsibility' - this used to be the case but it may have changed.
Whilst you are in hospital the baby will be called by your name though - just to make sure it is linked to you IYSWIM.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

.
All that is visable at this stage is the sac, so I'm going back in 3 weeks to make sure it's all going along ok.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
Congrats, AM! :j
Enjoy every minute, MFD (she says thru gritted teeth!):D x
Polly, your BF will have to be present with you when you register the birth. Married couples only legally require either parent - but I wouldn't let DH go alone in case he fluffed it up! :rotfl:
As MFD says, baby will be know in hospital as Baby 'your surname' so make sure your BF is aware of this. A friend of mine's partner was mighty put out by this but I'm sure you can imagine the confusion otherwise!0 -

LOL.... i use this name because when we hadn't told our parents yet, hubby text me to say "when are we telling our mums about oscar". since then it has stuck with me. i also use the term 'bubbles' to myself as one night before we got the BFP i just had this feeling of a protected bubble in my belly.
strange though using oscar, when for some very strange reason we (and my dad) thinks it might be a girl. not sure why, just seems to have gone that way.
we can only think of girls names at present and not too many at that. we struggle like crazy thinking of boys names.0 -
hello
congratulations AM!!! I'm excited to have you joining us. With you and Candygirl and sheel this board is certainly set to be more and more lively and OT!!!
MFD great news on the holiday to Vegas. We are still looking and looking and OH is dithering terribly
I got a great bargain in TK Maxx today - two beautiful French COnnection tops and a tunic/dress which have tonnes of room as maternity wear although they are normal size 8's. I figured I'd feel better in 'normal clothes' that are designed to be fashionable and floaty rather than some of hte interesting pieces of maternity clothing I've seen elsewhere
My bump is still very small at 18wks - when will it get pregnant like????r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0
