Not long til the weekend hun!
not as early a start as you but in before 8am and it is dragging although i am so very very busy.
at 36 weeks, i certainly do not blame you for the way you are feeling. are you working much longer or are you gearing up to say goodbye to work???0 -

my brian is fried today....so looking forward to going away with hubby for the long weekend and doing very little indeed!!!"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Ive got another 2 and a half weeks at work! I dont finish until 5th Sept... it seemed a good idea at the time as i hate being bored at home on my own, but now baby seems to be trying to headbutt its way out, im starting to think it was a bad idea! lol
Can you not get someone to share your workload? There's never a better time than this to play the under-pressure pregnant lady trump-card!0 -
OOh poor fried Brian, sounds painful:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: On a serious note AF my DD is feeling the same as you, very sick and worn out with working.(((Hugs))) to you hun:A
thanks for pointing out my poor brian, thanks to the edit button i have now fixed it :rotfl: :rotfl:
i feel for your DD i really do. the only thing i keep thinking that while i am feeling like this, it means that bubba is hopefully staying firmly in place (even though that still freaks me out)0 -
OH has just put Lenny Kravitz "Stand By My Woman" on.....
Think it was borne from the look of utter disgust I gave him when he said to me "Cup of tea love? Make me one while you're up"
If I wasnt smiling at him, I'd have torn his head off :rotfl:
On the working whilst feeling rough, I feel for everyone....
The number of times I've had to excuse myself from the shop-floor (work as a retail manager and the only full time member of staff) to just stand in the basement and sip water...... luckily my staff are v.understanding but its not a good look when you're trying to explain the qualities of a particular coffee and have to stick your head in the tin and INHALE with a slight green tinge to your skin and tell a customer why they should buy it :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

i hope the 2.5 weeks goes really quickly for you. i am not due to middle March next year and thought of finishing about 3-4 weeks before hand.
as for sharing the workload, my colleague that usually assists me is on leave as is another person in the office so it is just me helping the trainee solicitor at the moment and also taking more work from our other office as one person has left (dont get me started i say yes way too easily!!!!)0 -
I htink we work as long as possible for the same reason - want to spend as much time with the baby once they're here as that one on one time is so precious and so brief if you're going back to work, and not rattle around the house feeling every twinge in the run up to B-day! I'm planning on working right up to last week Jan and I'm due 11 Feb. I'm sure when it comes time to go back to work after New Year I'll be cursing myself:p26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

My plan too - i'm due 9th Feb, and was hoping to stay at work til Friday 30th Jan  .
DD and DS both arrived 12 days early though, and I don't fancy giving birth in the office! I doubt anyone would notice, unless my phone was ringing - then they'd turn round and glare because I wasn't answering it! :rotfl:
I can already see that going back to work after New Year isn't going to seem attractive to me when i'm the size of an elephant - we'll see what happens!:beer:0 -

I wouldn't go back after New year but we need me to in order to pay the mortgage. Although we're getting a 6 month payment holiday we can't take it until March so we need my 6 weeks at full pay to be timed to make mortgage payments until then. hubbles' salary would just aout cover everything on its own but he wouldn't have any cash to himself whatsoever and there's no need to struggle if I just take the time until the mortgage holiday is ended.
In an ideal world I wouldn't go back to work at all. I've spent the last 5 years qualifying to do a job that I find I'm really not enjoying very much:mad:
We're hoping I'll be able to work from home one day a week and Hubbles do the same so we only need 3 days of childcare a week and so we get some decent time with our Bean26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Sorry, but you do earn full annual leave while you are on maternity, have you though of take a week or 2 of that before starting you actual maternity leave?.. I have 6 weeks annual leave where I work (lucky me!!!), so when my time comes I was thinking of taking that before EDD and starting maternity leave on EDD (I like planning.... Usually doesn't work out...)Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
