    I'm a bit worried....

i had a bit of an episode at lunchtime. I was out for my lunch break when I came over all funny. Kind of got a tingling feeling and felt like my legs were going to pack in then everything went a bit fuzzy and I felt a bit clammy and cold. I actually thought I was going to faint.

I kind of breathed through it but still not feeling great. I carry a tin of boiled sweets to keep blood sugar up but a couple of those made no difference and I've had lunch (ham salad with a whole rainbow of veg incl potatoes) but still feel a bit peculiar. Any ideas what this might be? I don't want to phone the midwife for nothing:o

I would phone the Midwife Lucifa, just to be sure. It is there job and there are always there to help you. That way you will get the best possible person (no disrespect to the ladies here) to answer your queries as she has all your medical information.

Give her a call and look after yourself.

Hi there my EDD is 24 Sept. This is child no.4, after a mc last october.

Lucifa your BP is lower when PG maybe you just need a lie down. Try dried fruit instead of sweets as the sugar releases slower.

Cat? No I would say. Toxicara and e-coli should be enough to put you off!

Well I thought all was going ok but my hormones must have gone haywire this morning as having a major wobble - could say the huge pile of washing up I've come down to and being woken at 5.45am yet again by DD has just reduced me to a tearful wreck! Men eh! Why does it always seem like we are nagging when we ask for help!

Oh sorry, that all sounds so dramatic, DD has been waking early for the last 2 weeks and trying to cope with that and still working part time, I guess I'm just over-tired and cranky! Bet you wished you hadn't asked now :rotfl:

No, don't know what we are having, DH didn't want to know and baby wasn't playing anyway. DD is convinced shes getting a brother, tried preparing her in case its a sister but we'll see! Glad to hear you are being well looked after and at least you get extra peeks at baby with the extra scans. Do you know what you are having?
Hope everyone else is having a better day! x (day ?! just looked at clock, thought it must be nearly 10am so that was a bit of a shock!).

On maternity bras, I was very dubious about non wired as someone well endowed, but actually I've found them fine. I got a maternity bra at about 17 weeks I think, but had got away with it for a bit as I'd lost weight just before getting pregnant so my bras were on the big side. I also could have done with changing a couple of weeks sooner as they were uncomfortable by then. I've just had to get another maternity bra at 31 weeks, it seems to be my ribs that are growing rather than my actual boobs now! I considered getting a nursing bra, but was told it's better to wait as post baby once your milk comes in your chest size will decrease and your cup go up.

Just phoned midwife. She's not too concerned about it. If it persists I've to book an appointment but just keep an eye on it for now. The fact that she isn't telling me to get to the doc ASAP is reassuring and I feel much better for having phoned. Thanks peeps!

  • Glad to hear that you are okay Luc (well - at least that your midwife isn't panicking at the moment anyway). You just need to look after yourself and I don't think we are always very good at this. Hubby gave me a talking too yesterday for being too active with my nephew and not taking it a bit easier (I did suffer for it last night though)

Rest and small, frequent meals is the way forward :D

I forgot to tell you all in the excitement earlier - hubby was reading my notes whilst we were sat in the antinatal clinic earlier and he noticed a mistake...

It said 'is your partner the baby's father' - left blank
then 'is the father a blood relative' - ticked YES!!!

I got it changed but not until we were seeing the exit midwife - the poor sonographer must have been checking to see if bubba had 6 toes!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    MFD!

    It could be worse.
My maiden name is my married name, as my husband and I had the same surname before we got married, and when the doctor was checking over mine, he said I presume you're not related....?

And everyone who ever knows always says have you checked your parents dont know each other... and find it so hilarious!

    morning ladies.....

i worn you this post is heavily in the TMI category. :D

i was just reading a 'shaving' thread in The Arms that has reappeared. It made me think.... how are you ladies who are quite far along caring for your lady gardens. are you letting them grow freely or are you still trimming them (or keeping them bare whatever your preference) and if so how???

sorry, just got me thinking and when my time comes and people will be nosing down there when bubba decides to make an entrance, i want it looking spick and span.
