    You sure? ;) (jk!)

Thank you all for your best wishes.

    Congrats slscarborough :)

  • I've no certificate to prove it so it must mean I'm sane! Having said that I've got a 11 month old and I'm now a registered childminder so there must be a few screws loose somewhere!!

Thanks for the labour story Gem, but now I'm even more petrified than when I was before. I didn't even realise contractions lasted longer than a minute. I thought they came and went getting more and more frequent. So not looking forward to the giving birth bit. Aarrggh, only 10 weeks to go! When you say the pushing part was more painful, was that because of doing it while contractions were coming or because you were trying to squeeze something very big out of something not so big? :o:confused: Oh gosh, I feel queasy now._pale_

Hey don't panic ... I forgot that you were supposed to push between contractions so only pushed when I got one. I presume the pushing stage would have been even faster otherwise. It was not so much the stretching that hurt it was trying to push with enough force to actually push him out if you see what I mean ... Alex was really small though, I have nightmares at the thought of having another one at full term and it being double the size (sorry that really didnt help). I am a really small person though so if a baby can fit out of me then anyone can do it :rotfl:

Good and pain free labour vibes being sent your way for when the time comes

Glad everything went well for you - when is your tooth getting fixed? What did the nurse say when she realised what had happened?

    Hello :-)

Ive got good news-had my scan and review with consultant yesterday afternoon. I've found out i CAN breastfeed-and i'm not happy with my gp for telling me otherwise. Luckily the midwife i saw before leaving asked me if i was planning on b-feeding and i told her what the gp had told me. So i've now got to ring up and re-book a b-feeding class if possible and a kind lady will be ringing me up to reassure me that it is safe on my meds, she's a breastfeeding supporter or something along those lines an knows what shes talking about.

Im also waiting for a call from my own midwife, as ive been told i need my bp checking twice weekly up untill the birth! shes going to visit me at home though, luckily as my husband cant keep taking me to all these appointments!

Ive got another review at the hospital at 38 weeks, and we'll go from there to see if im ok to go to due date or if they want to induce me early. But all is going well at the mo, my bp is stable and they are being very positive about the whole active birth and only monitor me when needed. Phew!

So i now need to get my head around b-feeding again! Ive been given a book to read through that looks good.

Oh and baby is a right fidget! He/she wouldnt keep still for long when being examined and checking the heartbeat! lol.

    keely.

Morning all:j :j DD's still being very sick all day and night, she is 8 weeks on Thurs.I've done a thread here to see if peeps are sicker when carrying boys or girls
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1092005
I alwyas thought peeps were sicker with girls, but maybe that's just my circle of mates;) :D
For the ladies who've had recent miscarriages, I had one before my DD and one after her, so think that's why i'm being a bit over protective of her now:o :o
