    Afternoon all!

GB - thinking of you, take care xx

SB - I txt her last night but have heard nothing.. maybe Monday is her day off. I'm okay now though.

    MFD - thank you :)

I went into work today and it really helped. I appear to have been missed - everyone wanted a piece of me and I ended up with a queue of blokes (hmm, not as great as it sounds!) outside my office several times! It helped keep my mind off things and also make me feel a bit better about the state of my office. I was feeling very guilty for the state of it so now I've sorted it out, answered all my emails and planned either what I've got to do this week or what someone else has to do on my behalf (depends how tomorrow goes). I told one of my colleagues who'd been txting me all week, checking on me without knowing what's wrong, and she's been lovely, doing all the lifting and carrying for me.

Spotting is back down to how it was Sunday night.. not sure what that means. I did the stupid thing and Googl'ed it and read a lot of stories which I really shouldn't have read - ain't hindsight brilliant! Compared to many of the stories, I've got off lightly so far if it is/was a m/c which scared me even more. Had several sobbing incidents yesterday and went through many tissues but strangely I feel much stronger for going to work and keeping occupied.

Anyway, soaps and chilling out tonight then we'll see what tomorrow brings :)

Just caught up and have now promptly forgotten everything so if I miss something vital er, sorry!

Elle good luck for tmrw, I'll be thinking of you, and good luck to you too GB, I hope it all goes smoothly for you.

Swimming, I've been swimming all the way through so far (well I haven't been for a few weeks but apart from that) and being the special person I am haven't felt in the slightest weightless! Far from it, I get in and feel like there's a chuffing brick in my tummy! *sigh* ;-) It's still nice though and I enjoy my chcoolate based reward when I come out :-)

Morning sickness: To all of those who have got it, it's bloody stupid isn't it. Mine went, finally, at 16 weeks (I had the all day every day couldn't go downstairs without retching becuase it smelled funny type, thankfully 'just' nausea though), then came back at 22 *sigh* it's not as bad to be fair but I'm still bloody grumpy about it! As above I'm very special though, it would appear that most people, well, women, find it sods off about 10/12 weeks and doesn't come back!

    Hi Again All,

Just thought I'd check in and see how people are/were.

Elle and GB best of British to you both.

I've been having a couple of good days with the sickness feeling and saturday barely noticed anything different.
Sunday night I felt quite a bit of cramp (like period pains) and read up on it. From what I gathered, in the first 5-6 weeks its likely to be the pregnancy implanting itself that gives the cramp like feeling. Did many others find this?

Have had another day of pretty horrid queasiness though, and really didnt feel like eating much, but I know I generally feel better after eating. Its just building up the courage to actually eat IYSWIM?

Will be going to doctor on wednesday to get the ball rolling. What can I expect from my first "real" visit? Last time we went we wanted to discuss confirming the pregnancy/options etc. Think I was just panicked over being young and newly married, not financially stable etc. So this will be the one where its all about the pregnancy and baby..... But now I'm just worried over what it will entail etc...... silly i know....

    Hi Everyone,

I've been mostly over on the DFW threads. I only discovered this thread tonight else I would have been here sooner!

I'm expecting my first baby and, as you'll see form the list below the Bean's EDD is 11 February but there's a strong history of early deliveries in our family so we'll just wait and see.

I've had a pretty easy time of it. No morning sickness whatsoever in the first trimester, just really tired all the time and travel sickness. I have recently been getting kind of dizzy spells and sweats as though I'm about to pass out but so long as I can get a cold drink and a bit of fresh air it soon passes so I'm not too worried.

Is there a good place to go to get a list of what is needed when the Bean comes home?

Anyway, enough of my waffle for now.

    Hiya and welcome.

I'm due 9th Feb, funnily enough, mine is called Bean too!! First two came exactly 2 weeks early, so we'll have to wait and see with this one.

I've felt sick for the past 14 weeks, not acutally been sick but just feel perminently queasy! I was hoping it would be wearing off by now.

Mothercare, Bouncy etc will give lists of whats needed for a newborn, but you can probably half those lists!

As long as it fed, cleaned and has somewhere to sleep, it'll be happy!! With my first i went mad and bought tons of newborn and first size cute little outfits. He grew so fast he probably didn't even wear half of them!

With no 2, and with this one, i'll be buying a few vests, babygrows and cardi's to start with. Plus, you always get loads of clothes as presents!

The lovely people on here will be along to with info on what you really need, and really don't!

(I paid a fortune for a lovely changing station with no.1 - i never used it. It was much easier to put a changing mat on the floor!!)

    Morning all,

I'm bowing out. SB, pls can you do your usual tidying up and take me off the list, ta.

It was confirmed as a complete miscarriage this morning. Nothing left, so no need to go back for anything. I'm okay; realistically, I knew and I'm just glad if it had to be that that it's complete and I don't have to go back.

Good luck to everyone else and many many thanks for your support - I'll pop in occasionally as I feel like I know you all and I want to hear how you're getting on. I've been told to wait a few months then we can try again.

    Thanks again xx
