Hi ladies, congrats ANM! and to Gem!
Ive got my 2nd antenatal class tonight-discussed labour positions and watched birth videos last week, we'll be talking about pain relief etc tonight apparently.
When i saw my midwife on friday, she discussed the birth plan with me but have been advised to talk to the consultant at the hospital to check what they are planning because of my high bp etc. But she thinks ill be ok to have an active birth, with monitoring when needed.
Im seeing the consultant tomorrow afternoon, for another scan and to talk about a few things. I need to double check that i'll be stopping the low dose aspirin at 36 weeks and all is ok with my bp meds now.
I've been kicked to pieces this weekend, been rather achy and fed up. I felt so tired but when i went to lie down baby kept kicking and prodding me so i couldnt get comfy or sleep! Im already being bossed about by this baby lol! My husband told him/her to give me a rest or he'd give them a tap on the bum! (when baby was fidgeting baby seemed to stick bum out...hehe).
Hope everyone's ok this morning!

If I want to be taken off the list, should I just copy and paste the list, deleting my name, in a similar way to when you want to be added?
Sorry I just never get a chance to post on here really so I'm not much use to you and I want to delete my mse account anyway because some people have upset me and it's just better all round if I stop using forums. Pregnancy hormones, being stuck indoors when you are off sick and rude people who criticise you without knowing you are a BAD combination! I will just have to start watching Jeremy Kyle again!!0 -

Hey-who's been upsetting you? We're all nice in here (pregnancy section). Don't let the few nasty/horible people scare you off the boards-ive had some nasty comments aimed at me several times but i've had support off others to stick with it and ignore the comments.
Please feel free to PM me, if you want to talk or anything. How far gone are you? I know how you feel ie pregnancy hormones!
Big hugs! x xMommy to Elliot (5) and Lewis (born xmas eve 11!)0 -

Ahh thanks! It's ok. I'm just hyper-sensitive at the minute. Even without the hormones though I just don't get why people are so openly horrible to others who they have never met. If they were sitting face to face with me, would they say it? I know it's easy to come across in a way you didn't intend through an email or on a forum and I'm probably as guilty as anyone for not thinking about how what I say will be taken. But really, some people! Calling someone selfish is just plain rude in my opinion, unless they have actually done something to warrant it. Anyway, I'm too upset now to carry on with forums. It isn't worth it.0 -

Hi all
Thanks for the BS Gem.....
The boys start back at school on the 4th Sept and dh starts Uni on the 29th Sept, I was just thinking I might start going swimming as I will have a little bit of spare time. Now I know it is not recommended to start a new excercise or sport whilst pregnant, if you haven't been doing it pre-pregnancy but I was thinking that swimming is quite gentle and good for supporting weight etc. I will be about 18wks when I start it...what do people think.
Mel xUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

hi mel,
i am sure i was only reading in one of my leaflets over the weekend that swimming is one of the best exercises for pregnant women becuase of the weighlessness feeling and the no pressure on joints.
happy splashing!!!!!0 -

GB - take care sweetie, will be thinking of you.
Elle - thoughts and prayers will be with you tomorrow (I'm sure this baby is turning me religious)
AF - hope you are okay after your tumble - if it is any consolation my constant feeling of sickness has been replaced by less frequent but much stronger waves which I am really struggling to control. Have you tried polo's? Worked for me!
Mel - I have read not to swim until after 12 weeks (I will be SO glad to get 12 weeks over with just because of all the things that I can't do) but we have local aquanatal classes that recommend gentle exercise in the pool after 15 weeks. I am planning to join to meet some of the other mums-to-be.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120
