Lovely scan photos, fac and CG
It's amazing how great the 4d scans can be. :T On ours, the baby's face looks exactly the same as DS - like two peas in a pod. It'll be interesting to see if the baby will look exactly like his big bro when he pops out.
Although... I was reading the SMA calendar and it said the heartbeat is over 140 for girls... I checked my notes and the baby has been over 140 every time (well, just a little bit over), so now I'm thinking, what if the scan was wrong!
Eels, sorry to hear about your rubbish day, but at least you know where you stand now. And there are good sides to having a section, so look on the bright side (like not having to endure contractions for 47 hours! )
I got myself a mega bargain yesterday in Primark - a dress for a quid! :j It's not even maternity, and it's a size 12/14 - and it fits me  - oh how I laughed (I'm usually a 14). Let's just say it's very very loose - but for £1, it's great! :T
Also noticed that Tommee Tippee breast pads are 3 for £10 in Tesco at the moment. They are supposed to be very good (£4.99 each usually), so I think I'll stock up. I never used this brand with DS, but they look very similar to Lahsinoh, which are the ones I used, and are very expensive, so here's hoping TT are going to be just as good.0 -
Ella I hope your DP is feeling a bit better today - and you too of course.
Thanks everyone for the lovely comments - I do feel like a bit of a proud parent-to-be right now and feel like I'm still on a bit of a high - but sooo relaxed.
Fingers crossed for Jen - but 07/07/07 would make a great birthday!
Eels I'm glad you're feeling better today - sounds like your OH has been great though.
CG that's a great pic, shame they don't tell you the sex though - at least your 4d scan isn't far off.
And Dormouse I am jealous of your primark bargain... I haven't set foot in there for months so may have to go foraging!0 -
Hope everyone that hasn't been feeling 100% are feeling alot better.
I hope it happens for you soon jenpoptab.
Eels hope you don't mind I moved you up one as u had popped ur date under 29th!!
I was for my 12 week scan today so my mind is more at ease now I've seen baby and the heart beating and date changed to 16th Jan I worked it out wrong!!

Hi, I just started another thread about stem cell collection here
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=495770
I would love to know all of your thoughts on this, particuarly if anybody else is thinking about signing up for it.0 -
Well ladies, after seeing all your fab scans I have decided to take the plunge and have just booked a 4D scan at Window to the Womb for 28 weeks!!!!
I have said all along that I wasnt going to but I just couldn't resist it. I dont want to regret not doing it and I compromised by only going for the mid range package!!!!!
if you mean the one in nottingham, did you see my post re booking through ebay, it only costs £85 then instead of £195
i have been there (twice in fact! LOL)0 -
Just Looked On Ebay, Has The Price Changed As I Couldn't See Any Priced At £85.
Has Anybody Been Here And Had The £75 One.now mum of 4!!!0 -
Eels - sorry to hear the ECV didn't work for you, at least you know when baby is going to arrive and you can prepare for he/her arrival.
Jen keeping fingers crossed for tomorrow then, definitely sounds promising if you're bulging and starting to dilate.
4d scans are wonderful and we're so pleased we had ours.
Regarding cooking and food. I could hardly eat for the first 3 months because of the morning sickness, fruit was about all I could stomach on some days. DH bought me Tana Ramsey's (Gordons wife) cook book (as I don't cook) so there were some easy recipes for me to practice on. The recipes are ideal for kids and adults and mainly so quick and easy. If you're having a good day, try doing a load of batch cooking and freeze it so when you're having a bad day you can just heat them up.0 -

Hi, yes its the one in Wollaton but I couldnt see any difference in their ebay pricing and their own website pricing.
Did you go for the one where you get 2 visits (called watch the baby grow)? You did really well to get that for £85 if you did as I can see their ebay price for that now is back to £195.
We have gone for their Miniscan for £75 and I can't wait now.0 -
Eels - forgot about this benefit! If you're lucky (like I was :j ) you may go through the whole delivery without having to have an internal examination. And that is a HUGE benefit! I had an extremely painful internal during my first labour (before I had the emergency CS) which has scarred me so much that now when anyone says they need to "examine me" I automatically check out the size of their hands before I let them come near me! :rotfl:
For all of you out there hoping for natural deliveries don't be put off by my comment - from talking to many friends I was just very unlucky to have an unsypathetic male doctor examining me. Most reports have described internals as uncomfortable but rarely painful!
Curious George - what a fab picture!
Heres hoping I can swap from the TTC list soon - although partner is playing a violent destroy/slash/maim game on my laptop so can't see it happening tonight.....& as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin

hi re;4d scan no i went for the celebration i think ?
not sure, just was £85 through ebay - got DVD and 6 pictures and rest on disc. the first scan was bit blurry so they asked us back again for another for free so we went back again and baby wouldnt pose so they invited us back a third time, havent decided if we are going to go again though
was on ebay and was £85 - didnt pay through ebay though paid when we got there. if you read back through this thread i did a post with details and a link to my scan.
i have looked on ebay and isnt there at the moment - but has been there for last three months so maybe keep trying?
definately worth the money!0
