Congratulations, Chubacheroo! What a lovely name for your little girl.
Fac, hope you're feeling a bit better. :grouphug: I think Curious George was spot on: babies (in tummies and out) do what they want, and no baby is 'average' and does everything the book says. It's all part and parcel of being a mum - trust me, when the baby comes out, you'll always be worrying about something (the baby's not doing something others are, or doing something nobody else is - it's mad!)
SeptemberBaby, I had to laugh at your comment about the line (linea negra?). I had it with DS, but not with this one, so I check my tummy every day for it  (and I'm finding it so hard to see that bit of the bump now! :rotfl: )0 -
fac, dont worry i felt exactly the same - in fact im sure i did a post similar or almost did! i expected to be huge by 26 weeks and seeing all the arms and legs poking out - i remember the timing as it was when i went on honeymoon. in fact, i had a small bump - kept saying "do i look fat or pregnant all through the holiday and drove hubby mad!
now im 31 weeks and still not getting the movements i expected - just a few kicks and some belly wobbles now and again. today i havent felt much at all and that gets me all on a paranoia again - and i have had soooo many scans now - one at 6 weeks, 7 weeks, 10 weeks, 13 weeks, 20 weeks, and a 4d scan at 27 weeks and 30 weeks (my god when written down looks even worse - ealry scans were due to problems) and still i worry!
i guess we just have to believe the one thing that books say - every baby is different, even in the womb and every pregnancy is different too. personally i have none of the swelling yet or heartburn or leaky boobs so sometimes dont even feel pregnant (except when i get dizzy and see flashing lights and have to sit down with feet up or when i cant breathe when walked upstairs LOL)
thats why this forum is fab cos we can come on here and share our worries
enjoy the 4d scan they are really good x0 -
Fac, you worrier. My baby is nowhere near my ribs and I'm a whole week
ahead of you! As for the movements they have only got stronger recently, like in the past few days, and I can't say I like it much. I'm such a bad mother, I didn't even slightly worry when I couldn't feel anything for three whole days last weekend. It's all normal.
We started our £200 NCT classes last night. Turned up at the teacher's cottage at which point she stated it was 4th July and she was on her way out to a party! Erm... But she did have a stand-in in the shape of a breastfeeding counsellor, who usually turns up much later in the course. So there were lots of breasts for the men to enjoy ...:wall:0 -
I could hug you all, you're all so wonderful. I felt a lot better this morning and was almost looking forward to the scan by the time we left.
It was fantastic - one of the most amazing things I've ever seen - and SO good to see baby wriggling around even though I can't feel it - that's what gets worrying - you sort of assume (or I did) that if you can't feel anything (by this stage) then baby is still - silly me. They said we were lucky to get such clear pictures and asked for consent to use images in their promotional material :j The lady even printed an extra one for us as it was so hard to choose between them.
So here is our baby boy, who I think at 26 weeks is the spitting image of his dad
I put the rest here if anyone is interested
My only worry is that they said I am measuring 27 weeks - so am I just in for a hard labour?? I can't be that far along...
Agutka I hope the classes are worthwhile, I'm still gutted the NCT couldn't fit me in and am a bit clueless on NHS classes  better get my skates on.
Emma I think my OH would sympathise with yours - he is sick of me asking if I look fat, poor thing.
Oh, and my boobs haven't shown any sign of leaking, and I haven't got the much sought after line either! Got my first stretch mark(s) though :mad:0 -
great pictures!!!!
so glad you enjoyed it hun! and its so lovely to see your baby moving around isnt it, my baby loves to move around when been scanned or has doppler on - but when i want her to move so i can feel her she doesnt LOL
also it depends what you are doing as to how much you feel baby - when i was working i could go all day without feeling her move, now im at home i am aware of much more movement - today i have been out shopping and hardly felt her at all. baby cant win - i moan if she wakes me up in the night kicking me, i moan if she doesnt in case something is wrong0 -
Fac the pic is amazing. I so wish I had gone for 4d scan. nevermind I should have my real thing soon, please!

Your midwife should've filled you in on any details. I picked up a leaflet from Frimley hospital, where I will be hanging out in three months' time and they are running classes. Free! I did what it said on the form (waited to 26 weeks to apply) and the lady in charge rang me up and said they were full with 40 people! Except if I wanted to turn up she wouldn't turn me away. So I am going tonight, just to see how the hospital deals with the subject. Surely with 40 people, one more won't make a difference...
I told my mother about my stretchmark today and she was horrified - but you're only 6 months pregnant! Thanks mum, you know just how to make a girl feel good...:wall:0 -
can i use dove firming cream on my thighs when pregnant? thought might help with the spreading cellulite0
