CP, thinking of you and I hope that they can see you sooner, rather than later at the hospital.

It is terrible that they are keeping your waiting like this.
  • Thanks all, well I am back home, after convincing them that I would be better spending the night at home than in a noisy ward over night.

I spent five hours there being checked, spent an hour on the monitor and had a very painful internal.

They could find blood but couldn't work out whether it was cervix or placenta so they have said it is a waiting game to see what further bleeding if any occurs, so I am on light duties with the promise that I am no more than 10 mins from the hospital in case I need to go back in as an emergency.

Glad to be out of there to be honest, the waiting is just tiresome and the supper trolley went by while I was on the monitor behind closed doors and they didn't think to keep any for me for when I came out, so I have just bolted some food down!

Thanks all for your kind words

I'm glad you're back home CP, I've been wondering how you were doing and hoping everything was okay - make sure you do take things easy, I hope the bleeding stops soon so that you can relax and stop worrying, but I'm sure they wouldn't have let you come home if they were very concerned about you or the baby.

Have to be honest, after recently sampling hospital food when I had Natasha, you were probably better off missing the supper trolley! :rotfl:

Can any of you experienced pregnant women tell me - this whole baby moving business. I had to wait forever to feel anything, but now it seems the baby is getting stronger/ or just bigger? For the past three days my insides have been having the proverbial kicked out of them, even waking me up at night. I'm guessing it's all normal. But you experienced mums will be able to tell me is this how it's going to be from now on? What happens when space gets tight in there? How can I tell if the baby is uncomfortable or just exercising... How do I stop it kicking my bladder? Any input would be great, as I have no idea where I put all my preg. books.

Bad news first: you can't stop it from kicking your bladder  :rotfl: My baby seems to be constantly pressing on mine, especially at night - I'm so fed up with the constant peeing :o

The kicks just get stronger and stronger, and even when there is not much room there, they'll start turning and poking rather than doing the can-can. I'm 32 weeks now, and my tummy moves when the baby moves - it's like a mini earthquake in there :rotfl: I'm looking forward to the stage at the end when you can guess which part of their body they're poking out - you can sometimes literally see a hand or foot! It's cute in an Alien sort of way :rotfl:

But yeah, it's all normal. Expect it to be quite uncomfortable at times - for you, the baby's loving it. :D

Oh yes, anyone else's babies get the hiccups? Mine does on a regular basis - DS did as well - it's quite funny. :)

Well, at least the baby still responds to daddy's voice and touch by going immobile. I'll just have to wake hubby up at night a lot.
So that picture with a baby's foot sticking out of a pregnant belly is not made up?

I'm 36 weeks now and baby sees me settling down to do anything quietly as the perfect opportunity to start playing rugby (DH says he's not allowd to play football causes he's Welsh - which is just as well cause I don't understand the off side rule!! :rotfl: ) and using my bladder as the ball!! The bigger you get the harder the kicks feel, by ribs have now been given a bit of a break, but my bladder is getting it more as baby has started to engage and dropped quite a bit (suddenly I need a bra again as my boobs had been resting on my bump up until recently!)

Just have to say, enjoy it really, you'll miss that closeness when baby is born I would imagine, the movement is the best bit about being pregnant, although it can be difficult to understand this when he's keeping me awake at night, just have to remember its practice for the night feeds.

Mine hasn't, my friend did and said it was really funny so was quite looking forward to it, but nothing so far, doubt I will now with only potentially 4 weeks left.
