yey!! so glad you enjoyed it, knew you would! was it lots cleaer than the clip you saw of mine? im hvaing a girl too - though we havent told everyone just parents and a few close friends
im so glad you had a good experience :T

    Thank you, Emma!

We really did love every minute! We have 38(!) pics on a CD-Rom and obviously some are better than others but some are really, really clear. The DVD is my favourite, though! We thought it was going to be a disaster at first as she had her arm over her face and then held her foot over her face! Must be camera shy :rotfl:

My family don't want to know the sex and are convinced its a boy

I don't think you can do anything about the stretchmarks. You are either going to get them or you aren't. Does you mum have stretchmarks ?

I have them on my legs, but pg wise I have escaped twice, and am keeping my fingers crossed this time too, although I do appreciate that right now I am 4kg heavier than I have ever been in my life (even at 9m pg) and I am only just after half way. So who knows !

On a more serious note, we had our anomly scan yesterday. Everything is just perfect with baby, and although I did not want to find out the sex, DH did. However our little Sprog was being a perfect mummy's baby by keeping his / her legs firmly crossed !

But we're sure there's nothing we can do about it right? You either get them or you don't. And since my thighs went through this scarring process in my teens I guess I'm susceptible (sp) to them...
Just need to make sure it can't be helped, as I am not religious about anything from vitamins to moisturising!
Apparently there is nothing you can do about them, I was hopeful that keeping tummy moisturised would be enough, but I must have low collegen in my tummy which can increase having them, eg the more collegen your skin has the better it stretches without tearing.

There are creams etc that can help fade them quicker (eg Palmers and bio-oil) and there's always laser surgery which is supposed to be very good at reducing them (but expensive), but nothing I've been able to find that can prevent them from happening, whatever product manufacturers say.

izoomzoom, glad your scan went ok, I breathed a huge sigh of relief when we got out of ours without really realising I'm been particularly worried. Its reasuring to know things are progressing ok isn't it.

September Baby - the 4d scans are wonderful aren't they! Congrats on having a girl, helps with the names before hand. Do you have any idea what you might call her?? Ours was a bit camera shy as well, we had about 6 minutes of footage before baby decided my placenta was very comfortable and snuggled into it so all we got for the last 2 mins was the outline of its face, very surreal.
  • I have just been to the loo and found spotting definitely coming from the baby hole, not piles.

I have called the hospital and they are too busy to see me at the moment so I am going in later today.

The baby has been kicking like crazy these last two nights to the point I haven't had any sleep.

I have some cramps in the lower left of my bump.

I am sat here fearing the worse

Does anyone know if this is a serious condition, are these ok signs or should I be worried? I didn't have any bleeding with number 1.

    Thanks

Are you in labour? i never noticed a bloody discharge with my 1st, but did with second.
If in doubt go to gp or A and E, Dont just worry.

that sounds like my baby - she buried into my placenta so far that all we got were like skeleton shots.

I am waiting to go to the hospital but they are too busy for me now so I have to wait until later today

God I can't be in labour, my house is going through building works at the moment, we don't have a bathroom! There is no way my mother in law could come to stay with the house in the state it is!

Try and get a friend over, you dont want to be on your own. Its great your not ignoring it like i did. Try nhs direct for any questions if you cant speak to your own doctors.

Thanks, I have my husband here who works from home and he is very much business as usual, while I just want to boo hoo but with my 3 year old bouncing about after preschool this morning I am keen to hold it together.

Nhs Direct in my experience have always said go to A&E for anything I have called them for, so I am going to give them a bit of a wide birth, it would be good to hear from people who have had good or bad experiences of this problem.

I have two hours to wait before they will see me in hospital, so have done a bit of a search on the web. I have bright red spots, similar to dots you would get from a felt tip pen, and it is within the mucus. I have so far read that it is the labour plug, but hoping it will be something else a little less dramatic.
