It's strange, light is one of the things baby responds best to. (Aside from dad's voice and frozen peas on the poor thing's head) the torch really got it moving. Every morning I open the curtains and get back into bed with my belly bared and we enjoy five minutes of belly-bouncing shape-shifting acrobatics before getting up! :rotfl:

Edited to add that it's the baby doing the acrobatics, before any of you get the wrong idea!

i have been doing the torch thing this week and baby really does respond - mind you she will kick anything off my belly now, or have a good go!

septemberbaby, im sure you will love your scan - hope it goes well and told you not to be put off! i like my dvd and pictures, some are clearer than others depends on babies position

With regards maternity leave, I worked full time whilst pregnant with no 1 and 2. DD1 I had 6 weeks off. I finished work at 36 weeks but went two weeks overdue. This was lovely relaxing time to myself, however as I was on a village and didn't know many people I found myself a little lonely. DD2, I worked until 38 weeks and had 12 days off (I think), before having her.
With this baby I finished work 10 days before my due date as I only worked 15 hours per week. However I can't imagine I would have been able to manage this if I was fulltime. I am extremely tired now- but that could be as I have two kids already and am now overdue.

DD1 will be 4 tomorrow, I hope he/she doesn't decide to put in an appearance then. I would feel so mean to my eldest. However the sooner it comes the better. I just dropped dd1 off at pre-school this morning and everyone says they can't believe I still haven't had it. I'm sure they think I have an extra large cushion up my top!

Anyway better go and get some cakes prepared for DD1 to take to school tomorrow.

Woohooo im finally adding myself to the list .This wee list seems to be good luck as you girlies arent on the TTC for very long!!! And the baby bump gang seem to go down the list sooo fast. 9 Months is nothing ehh...just flies in lol

well, i have had my first day at home, not officially mat leave till next week and i have tidied out all ym drawers and wardrobe - at this rate my house will be spotless by end of week! i dont know if i am going to enjoy being at home alone - hubby rang at lunchtime to say i should be making most of it, seeing friends and "doing lunch" so maybe i will arrange some good things like that to do, too. :T
