here in the West Midlands it is a booking appointment with the mid-wife at 8 weeks (ish) scan at 12 weeks (ish)

Pretty similar up in my bit of the North West only the 8ish week booking appointment is done at the hospital instead of with your normal midwife, it was long and dull and they weighed me and took all of my blood (well, two vials but you know, my blood likes to stay in my veins!). I know they used to do the booking in appointment after your 12 week scan in our area, I think other areas are still like this :-)

Claire, I'm in Grimsby (near Bradley Crossroads), 10 mins door-to-door from the hospital :)

The spotting is coming and going. When it's there it's more evident than before but that in a way is better as I can now tell the colour - dark red

candygirl - I think it changes from area to area but here in the West Midlands it is a booking appointment with the mid-wife at 8 weeks (ish) scan at 12 weeks (ish) then back with the midwife at 15-16 weeks (ish)

that's as far as I have got so far :p
God it doesn't seem much, compared to how often I had to go when I had DD 21 years ago.Or maybe it just seemed more often cos I hated going:o
ELLIGEE hope you're gonna be ok hun xx;)
The prams arrived, we took it out of the box to have a look, and now can't get it all back in:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: the car seat thing has popped out and wont go back in:eek:

  • Candy, when DD has her next baby :p:D:eek: tell her to book an appnt straight away with the MW at the surgery and not with the Dr. All the Dr does is refer you to the MW and it takes longer to get in the system .

In my area you see the MW at the surgery who takes your BP and basic notes. Then you're left on tenderhooks waiting for your booking in and scan appnt which are on the same day - scan immediately followed by booking in - at the antenatal unit around the 12w mark.

PS - you have the pram already?! :rotfl:xxx

But thats what Nanna's are for!!! :D:rotfl::D

Poppy has more of a social life than me! Between my parents, my sisters, my aunties and my cousins, she is hardly ever in! And she sleeps from 6:30pm to 7am :D.

So, I'm desperately trying to prepare myself for this one to test my patience to the limit:rotfl:
