Welcome to my latest preoccupation.. bras!
I'm usually a 34D, lost a bit of weight in the last few months before my BFP, went down to a 34C but now I'm definitely back up to a 34D and still growing. I'm used to underwired bras so every non-wired bra I try on never seems to feel or look 'right'. Also I want something to sleep in with a bit of support. I've got a support vest which i got from BHS years ago which is good but I can't find anything similar now, other than the nursing ones from Mothercare, but I feel it's a bit early for that now (my other preoccupation is starting to buy things and jinxing everything!). Any suggestions anyone?
Hope you are all well
i got some support bras for pregancy from marks, they are lovely comfy, aslo on boots website they have a bra that looks like a sports bra, but its not, you can sleep in that as well, its in the maternity section.
i know what you mean about buying things, i didnt till late on.
good luck
i cant wait to get into my wired bras again0 -

Very sorry to drag the mood down but I need some advice.. (apologies also if TMI!)
At about 4pm today I went to the loo and noticed I was spotting, only noticeable on the paper. obviously sent me into a blind panic! Kept visiting the bathroom every half hour and it got lighter, then disappeared (all only on the paper). Now it seems to have come back. It's only smudges so I can't really tell if its old or new blood. I've been getting crampy pains pretty much since I found out I was pregnant and they're still there, no more no less.
Any advice? I'm 9wks + 40 -
lwcus, hope it clears up soon! I was at my wits end when I had it last preg but after giving the yog a try, in the end I called my Dr and he prescribed me a cream suitable in pregnancy. What bliss! :rotfl:. Lol, just remembered that DH thought I had to eat the yog!
elle, not sure if its any help but these are what I use from M&S *click*. I know you don't feel as supported with non-underwired ones but I shopped around and tried a few on. I sleep in these too as they are v comfy!
Congratulations, Gem, and welcome to the world, Alex! :jLooking forward to your Birth Story!

Sorry, elle, just saw your last post :grouphug:. I spotted at the beginning of my preg with Poppy and all was well - its apparently quite common. But its really important that report any kind of bleeding to your MW just to be on the safe side. Try not to worry though! However, if the bleeding gets heavier, is bright red and your cramps get stronger, then either contact NHS Direct/24hr MW number for advice or go straight to A&E (as this is what happened to me when I had my m/c). xxx

Thank you.
How heavy is heavier? Just slightly worse spotting or full on bleeding?
Also, I've got an office job. If its still like this in the morning, do I go in? Am going to phone my midwife in the morning. Due at work at half eight so think i might be late.0 -
In my case it was full on bleeding and extremely bad cramping but I'm sure it can vary xxx
Have you told work about your preg as you're entitled to paid leave for antenatal appnts, etc, and they are obliged to do a health risk assessment. I would call and tell them you will be in late and then see what the MW says.
I know what you're going through but I'm sure everything will be just fine.
Let us know what the MW says xxx0 -
Hi Elle,
Hope things are better this morning. I would defo ring the mw, they can arrange a scan to check babs ok. I myself wouldn't go into work today, make sure you get plenty of rest. SB is right, my friend spotted through the 1st 4 months of her preg and all was ok, but you still need to check it out.
Take care xxx0 -

I spotted a bit early on-mine was like old blood/brown though and only lasted about a day. I asked my gp about it, and he told me not to worry as it wasnt new blood/heavy/having bad pains. Id check with your gp or midwife to be on the safe side though. Its quite common to get some spotting early on, my sister had it on and off all through out her last pregnancy though and was finehope all is ok!

ps-got my first parent craft/antenatal class tonight!Mommy to Elliot (5) and Lewis (born xmas eve 11!)0 -
Morning all.. i've been to work and come home again.
The spotting is still there, no better no worse. I went into work for usual time, 0830hrs, and phoned midwife from there. obviously she assumed I start at 0900 cos she said "Are you going to work? Well don't!" so I told my colleague who hugged me and marched me out the office (she had a complicated m/c and recovery last year).
Midwife just phoned again and she's got me a scan at 1030 tomorrow morning. She said I'm to sit on the sofa til the scan and if I'm still spotting tomorrow but everything looks okay on the scan, I'm to stay off until Wed.
Bring on copious amounts of tea, baby dust and Jeremy Kyle!
Keely - you say "first".. do you get a course of them? Here all we get is a four hour session on a Saturday morning - that's it. We can only go once too. That also includes a tour of the facilities. No NCT classes near us either.0
