Morning all.. i've been to work and come home again.

The spotting is still there, no better no worse. I went into work for usual time, 0830hrs, and phoned midwife from there. obviously she assumed I start at 0900 cos she said "Are you going to work? Well don't!" so I told my colleague who hugged me and marched me out the office (she had a complicated m/c and recovery last year).

Midwife just phoned again and she's got me a scan at 1030 tomorrow morning. She said I'm to sit on the sofa til the scan and if I'm still spotting tomorrow but everything looks okay on the scan, I'm to stay off until Wed.

Bring on copious amounts of tea, baby dust and Jeremy Kyle!

Keely - you say "first".. do you get a course of them? Here all we get is a four hour session on a Saturday morning - that's it. We can only go once too. That also includes a tour of the facilities. No NCT classes near us either.

Im sure all will be ok, just take it easy today. You're lucky they've got you a scan so quickly! :o

Antenatal classes; i've got three sessions, all an hour and a half each. This is being held at the local nursery (you can pick which one you want to go to, this one was just down the road). But i've already had an hour's tour of the hospital, a few weeks back. There is also a breastfeeding class too at the hospital but i'm not going to that. You can have all of it in one go i think on a weekend, but it's too much for me in one go :o

I can't aford NCT classes-so dont know if there's any near by lol.

    Hi Elle
I hope all is goes well for your scan tomorrow - will be thinking of you - I've had this same problem over 4 pregnancies and luckily we have a dedicated unit in my area where you call in the morning and go down for the scan same day.
Take it easy and try not to worry x

Lots of good luck for your scan tomorrow (I'm having mine at that time too so will be thinking of you x).

PS: I told you not to rush into work! ;):D. Feet up, plenty of yummy snacks and a film, such as Pretty Woman/Notting Hill/Love Actually will do the trick! :D.

  • Just had a mammoth read and catch up!
I had my DS in those rooms in Grimsbys new maternity ward at they were brillant, everything was at hand and your own bathroom was a god send! I didn't want an epidural as I wanted to be able to move about but I ended up on a drip so I was stuck on the bed. I gave in eventually and had an edipural, it was fantastic. I was so tired I had a lovely snooze for a while!

Hope everything goes ok for your scan tomorrow Elle-gee, where abouts do you live then? I'm in Immingham

i am not 8 weeks + 3 and for the first morning in about 5 weeks i have not felt sick woobloodyhoo!!!!

went up to the hopsital first thing this morning to have my bloods taken (as the midwife didn't have any luck). they struggled there to, but a senior member of staff when in quite deep and got what they needed thank god. was there on my own panicking about where they were try next if they didn't have any luck with my arms or hand. oh well, all done now!!!

hope your scan went okay elle.
