Hi guys,
Thank you so much for support over last few days. Its surprising how many other people have had similar experiences.
The scan I had Friday showed no abnormalities which was encouraging, I'm waiting for the quad blood results wed/thurs this week. I think we have, like bubs decided not to have amnio as we would not terminate anyway. Its a difficult decision to make, i've been very aware of the fact that its not just my decision as it affects the whole family. My husband and parents have been very supportive and we've kind of come to a decision together that we'll all help each other out if the baby is Downs. My mum knows what to expect as she works with children with DS. If I didn't have this support I think the decision would have been much hardrer.
I'll let you know what my blood results are when they come through.
Toto-glad things worked out well for you.
Bubs-i'm sure things will be fine, the risks are still very low. When are you due? All the best and thanks for your support.
Thanks again xx
ps its a little boy- he kept laughing during the scan, every time I laughed he laughed too. Sooo cute.0 -

lwcus - so glad the scan went ok and you got to see your little one laugh - that must have been such a great moment! fingers crossed for the blood test results. Now you've made the decision you can try to relax a little and enjoy the pregnancy - so hard with all the worry I know but I'm now starting to believe this is really happening and soon we'll finally have a baby - I'm due 25th August. We get married 13th July so lots going on right now! good luck. x0 -
