Hi Everyone
Just registered with the forum and added myself to the list. I'm so pleased to find a forum for mums/mums to be. This is my first pregnancy and I'm very excited. I'm already starting to think about money and what the options might be for me and the OH after the birth such as PT work and childcare etc It will be nice to have others to discuss it all with.

:j Yay! Congratulations Iday, Rara, Ladyra and Bekki!! :j
Hope everyone else is ok too. xx0 -
Haven't written anything on the board for ages but as I'm now pretty near the top of the list I thought I'd say hello.
I'm only 2 days overdue but feeling very impatient. I started my maternity leave 2 weeks ago and am now bored of being at home all day with the just the dog for company and want a baby to share it with!
We're also due to leave the country in 8 weeks with my husband's job so I'd like a bit of time to get used to having a baby before having to pack up my life & move!!
Oh well. I shall now return to tidying the house (someone is coming round to take pictures for renting it out) and hope that all the activity encourages the baby to make a move.:DFeb 14 GC - £89.37/£3000 -
Hi guys,
Been out shopping today for a travel system (just pricing things up at the moment). I was going to have a Quinny but the lady in the shop told me that i'd just be paying for the name. I liked the Petite Star Solar a lot as it was nice and light and I liked the price too!! £190 including car seat, cot, footmuff and raincover. Has anyone else got one or had any experience of one?
Is it too soon for me to start buying things? I'm 16 weeks.

Congrats to all those who have joined us! Its so exciting isn't it!
Not mailed for a while, but have been watching the action closely!
Big congrats to rjh of course - and thanks for the birthing story - its good to hear. Very interested in this part at the moment...!
OH and I went to our hospital to a water birthing talk -we had to watch a dvd of a lady giving birth and it scared us silly...:o
Good news - like honeybe I've been given crutches for my SPD - yay!
Only 5 weeks left of work - I can't wait to finish now - I'm due at about the same time as Carol, so I completely get the tiredness thing - working full time is not a good thing at 31 weeks with painful joints  But there are worse things in life eh? At least we will have a baby at the end of it!!Baby due on 7th August - eep! :j0 -
Well, I eventually have my scan date booked for 13 June - only afterwards did I realise its Friday 13th!:rolleyes:.
I will be 13w and hopefully then be adding myself to The EDD List :j

I had my 20 week scan yesterday and it was brilliant!! Haven't felt the baby move in a while, so thought there might be something wrong, but it was sooo cool to see the baby in there. Looks a lot different from the 12 week scan. I have got a lazy one though, wasn't doing much. Saw it punch the air a couple of times.
I know it's an everyday miracle, but you could see all the bones and almost even count fingers and toes! My scan man was a bit grumpy, but pointed out the important bits. I kept trying to see if there was a ding-a-ling, but I think the scan man kept away from that bit (we're not allowed to know in our area what we are having, it's so unfair).Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

I am only 5 weeks and had some screy spot bleeding last night, I phoned the midwife this morning and she told me to take it easy today, has anyone else had this? I thought you were supposed to be able to carry on as normal when pregnant, o/h does not believe I should be taking it easy either, which means trying to relax is even harderMurphy's No More Pies Member No. 28 on hold0
